Brought the truck in making "chirping" sounds from the engine compartment.  Typically this is caused by the belt.  They replaced the belt and associated accessories.  After picking up the truck, notice it was still making the sound.  Took it back and they suspected it may be the camshaft synchronizer.  Kept the truck overnight and made the repairs.  They did not charge me for the camshaft repair.  They apologized profusely for not catching it the first time, but, as you know, noises are sometimes hard to diagnose.

I'm extremely satisfied with that work. Whatever they told me was absolute truth, they said when they could get it in the shop and when it would be done and they were right out off the money. As a matter of fact while I was still at the shop when I took my SUV in there to be worked on and waited for my ride to pick me up they delivered the auto parts that he needed to do my job. He immediate got on the phone and ordered what was needed.

Great job!  I dropped my truck off at 4pm on Thursday and they called my at 102pm on Friday telling me my truck was ready to pick-up.  Pretty fast.  I immediately took the truck to a Firestone store to have the front end aligned.  The tech commented that whoever installed the parts did a good job of getting the initial alignment close.  Obviously, Gassons took their time and did the job right.  They are closed on weekends, so plan accordingly.  Also, the shop is a bit of a challenge to find, but well worth it!

Bob is always very courteous and upfront about pricing!  I trust him to tell me exactly what needs to be done and know it is taken care of the first time without issues!

Everything went well.  First of all we had scheduling problems because of work related issues.  They sent someone to pick up the car and return it when completed.  They always put the customers needs first. They were timely,and explained everything easily.  The work was done quickly and they are always professional and cordial.  This is my go to mechanic since moving to Jacksonville.  We highly recommend them.

Dropped car off on the weekend, it was ready for pick up on Monday

Bought an older, high mileage car for my son. Took it to Gassons to have it checked out. Gave me a quote for needed repairs. Dirt comparison shop as I had heard so much about them a northside Jax favorite. They performed the work as promised and charged as quoted. Unfortunately the car had other issues develop afterwards. Took back to Gasson's and they gave me the ugly truth. Decide to replace motor or scrap car. Offered what I felt to be a very fair price to replace motor, but chose to scrap the car. Just wanted to give props for their honesty and integrity, and Gasson's has earned my loyalty.

They did a great job and we're very professional.

Found Gassons on Angieslist and gave them a call about doing required timing belt service on my wife's car. They quoted me a great price and performed the job for the quoted price and it was ready at the time promised. I would recommend them to anyone and will  bring my car there when I get a chance.

They found the problem only to be some rust build-up, and after cleaning it all everything was fine. they also noticed that my radiator overflow tank was in bad shape, and got it replaced the same day. i would recommend them for any needed automotive service.

I am extremely satsified with the work that they did.  They were fast, knowledgeable and did the job exactly the way I wanted.  It was the best service I've had anywhere.

I located this auto repair on Angies List.  When I arrived I explained my issues to the owner (Bob Gasson).  I waited for about an hour for a ride and by that time he had checked out my pickup truck provided me with prices for the repairs and presented options for me to consider.
After I decided what work to do he told me the truck would probably be ready today but he would call between 3 and 4 pm to let me know for sure.  He called about 3:30 pm and told me the work was completed and that it was ready.  I picked the vehicle up, paid and left. 
After driving the vehicle I noticed that it felt "rough" when driving.  I brought it back a couple of days later, explained the problem to Bob and he immediately offered to go over the vehicle to see what he could find.  He re-checked everything including the balancing of the tires the brake rotors and the alignment as well as all the other work he had done.
He found that I had a bad tire that was causing the problem, which I will take to my tire dealer for replacement.
The truck is back to it's old great ride.
My experience with Gasson's was highly positive.  The work preformed was well done and when a problem arose Bob did not hesitate  to insure that all was correct and I was completely satisfied. I don't think anyone can ask for more.

Incredibly positive experience. We have been looking for a good honest mechanic in Jax since we moved here 27 years ago and I can say for certain that we have done so. Very professional, courteous, fast and the price was always reasonable - even cheap in some cases. I chose Gassons on the basis of the reviews here and would encouage others to do so. These guys are great!

Company inspected brakes first and told me I could go a bit longer (~20-30% left on front pads, ~50% on rear.).  So they did not try to sell me a job I did not need.  Work was performed on time as promised.  Brakes work as smoothly as when car was new.

I was taking my car in because it wouldn’t start.  I had recently put in a new battery.  We though it was a problem with the alternator and was expecting to spend $300, when we took it they found out it was an electrical problem and was $125 with an oil change.

Went to multiple Toyota dealerships within a 50 mile radius of Jacksonville getting estimates to have 90,000 mile service done on a 2005 Toyota Highlander. I found Gassons thanks to Angie's List and decided to go in person and ended up meeting Bob and his wife. Both were extremely personable, I gave him the 'list' and very quickly he went over with me and the associated cost. Total ended up being $400 less than the lowest Toyota dealership - and he said they'd be able to complete it within a day. Experience could not have been better - I'll absolutely take my car to them in the future.

My daughter's truck was not working properly and she was almost 900 miles from home.  She had no idea where to take it for repair.  We specifically joined Angie's List to find a reputable place to service it.  By the description my daughter was giving me, I knew it was going to be involved.  

Gasson's arranged for a tow truck which arrived promptly. Gasson's was able to diagnose the problem and also sent a video to me of an additional serious problem so I could see.  They emailed the itemized estimate to me and allowed me to pay by credit card over the phone.  I mentioned the 10% off labor coupon and that was deducted.

Gasson's very kindly delivered the truck back to where my daughter was staying.  

Overall, the process went very smoothly and I'm pleased to report the truck runs well and my daughter was able to safely make the 900 mile trip home without incident.

I highly recommend Gasson's not only for the work they do but for the peace of mind they brought during the process.
