FRESH COAT CUSTOM PAINTING INC.

In June 2014, my old tenant vacated my rental property in Emerald Isle, NC. I needed some work done on the property and currently residing in Massachusetts. Obviously, I was somewhat skeptical of dealing with contractors after some previously bad experiences. However, I joined Angie’s list after hearing many good stories of successes. I found Fresh Coat Painting, Jacksonville, NC and after reviewing the reviews and obtaining a few other estimates, I decided to go with Fresh Coat Painting which is owned and operated by Walter T. Van Tiem. Right from my first conversation with Walter, I was very impressed for his customer service. Walter estimated the job would take about two weeks. I knew right there Walter was dedicated to his work and would not be giving me any shoddy work. Once the job started, Walter and his crew began the project doing the interior painting. Upon starting the exterior, Walter identified some rotten wood which was extensive, however, did provide me with another contractor who he stated I could trust. I have enough faith in Walter at that time to go with his suggestion. This contractor was just as honest as Walter and also did a great job. Once the wood was replaced, which took a few weeks of work, Walter and his crew took care of business. Walter mentioned that it appeared that the previously painter did not paint the trim which caused some of the wood to rot, as it was exposed to the elements. In the end, Fresh Coat and Painting did an excellent job and Walter will be the first person I call when the house needs to be painted again. Another honest man and does a fantastic job. I paid more because of replacing much rotten wood, however, at least Walter identified the problem. So, my hat goes off to Walter for honestly and just plain hard working. Terry Hardy
