This was our second experience using Nicholas Cain construction.  Both have been great and we plan on using nick as our contractor whenever we need him.  Its great to be able to call one guy who can do it all.  We had to freshen up a condo we needed to sell and the kitchen was the largest draw back.  It was too dark and run down.  Nicks crew rejuvenated the kitchen with some painting and light fixture replacement.  Repairs and some small electric upgrades.  Fixed an area where trim was falling down.  
All work was done in the time we were told and condo was left clean.  Workers were all friendly and did not cause any issues.  

We will use Cain Construction again for sure.

Nicholas Cain Construction did a terrific job on our house we were preparing to sell.  He and one other worker performed the job.  We had water damaged siding that would not pass WDO.  Nick worked with us and our budget to get us fixed up and ready to list our house.  Once the old siding came down, there was bug damage underneath from the previous owners we had no idea existed.  Nick layed out our options and gave us great advice on how to proceed, but did not push at all.  I also heard Nick advised the other worker that we had young children and to be very mindful of nails and debris.  I certainly appreciated that!

Nick and his crew, Walter and Brian, were awesome.  During my initial contact for an estimate with Nick, he was courteous and punctual.  He listened to my desire and offered suggestions from a professional standpoint which gave me confidence that he wanted to provide the most assistance possible.  Nick made all the arrangements with the architect, plumber and electricians and introduced me to his team for days when he would not be on site.  These guys were always pleasant and informative and after about 6 weeks of work, was like part of the family.  They ensured they cleaned up the area after each day working and even did a little additional things when I needed other assistance while they were there.  Nick ensured I knew who was coming to the house to work on a portion of the project, ie, inspector, plumber, electrician and followed through with the work done.  He worked hard to find the fixtures I wanted to complete the fine details of the new bedroom and bath to include ceiling fan, shower, and mirror.  I also put it in his hands to make the decision on the tile and wood floor and he did an awesome job and it all came out beautifully.  I don't have a single complaint about these guys.  This is an older home and had a single car garage.  I had no idea what the "bones" would look like once they removed the shell.  They found some termite damage and repaired it prior to moving on.  Thankfully, there wasn't any other major issues to be addressed during the completion of this project.  I would recommend them for other jobs with no hesitation and would definitely call on them for other projects, no matter how big or small, in the future.  Thanks Nick for such a beautiful addition to my home.

Rotted sill plates and joists were discovered when rotted siding was removed.  Difficult work was precisely done.  Dips in floor were corrected.  House was temporarily jacked up to do the work underneath. 
Will use Nick Cain again without hesitation.  Good work, good price.  Very professional.

This is the fourth household project we have had Nicholas Cain Construction do for us since June of 2014.  He, personally, worked on the first project; but his crew has worked on the subsequent three with his supervision.

We felt the estimate was a fair price for the job that needed to be accomplished. The estimate was accepted and Nicholas was asked to get this accomplished for us prior to Thanksgiving week when we would have a full house of family. The work began on the day after the estimate was accepted.  The job required two-three men and was estimated to require about 3 days to complete.  The job was completed early afternoon of the third day.

Important Details:

1) On all of our projects we have had a consistent presence, Chris, who appears to be in charge when Nicholas is not here. He and the men are well-mannered, responsive, hard-working and competent.

2) At the conclusion of work each day, the work area has been cleaned up and the materials neatly stored or returned to the trucks.

3) The men have been punctual about their start time in the morning.

4)  All the work that Nicholas Cain Construction has done for us, has been done competently, on time and in all ways, as promised.

5)  We have asked Nicholas to provide us an estimate for another project which we discovered needs to be completed.  We are grateful to know who to call when we need help with projects beyond our own skill level.  He pointed out part of the job which we can fairly easily complete ourselves and has promised a timely estimate on the remainder of the job. 

We purchased a home that had been vacant for several years.  Upon the review of the home inspection report, we knew we needed a licensed contractor to complete the repairs.  The previous owner removed a load bearing wall without properly reinforcing the remaining ceiling.  Nicholas Cain was able to work with a structural engineer to get the ceiling reinforced and brought back into code.  The other major issue on the home inspection report was water intrusion based on a poor roofing job.  Nicholas Cain and his crew were able to repair the roof and find and repair ALL of the water damage to the house - not just those spots identified in the report.  We also had NC2 remove a glass block window and tile a bathroom.  They also removed a wood burning fireplace (and it's chimney) replacing it with a ventless gas fireplace.  I would like to recommend Nicholas Cain Construction as they provided quality repair in a timely manner, were very professional, and reasonably priced.

Must disclose that Nicholas is related to us, but we selected him to do the work instead of others because he is knowledgeable, conscientious, and involved in the day to day work, to assure highest quality. There was never any concern about giving this company access to our home when we were not home. Pricing was fair, and the process was thoroughly explained to us before the work began. We will definitely be calling them again!
