Discount Glass

Ordered glass right before 2017 holidays so they told me there might be a longer than usual delay. About three weeks later hadn’t heard from them. Called and got the run-around several times. Went to the their office to ask what was going on. Owner handled the situation immediately and the installation was done the next day. They saved me about $600 compared to other estimates. When you run a small business things don’t always go as planned and I get that. Bottom line is that the end product and price were good and the owner proved to be reputable.

A technician came out to our house on 1/11 to give me a quote to replace a broken window. I liked the quote and went ahead and paid half of the total cost. They assured me they would be back to install the window no later than 1/20. I never heard from anyone on the 20th, so I called on the 21st. I was told they would look into my order and call me back. I never received a return phone call. I called them again on the 25th and was told the glass was ordered, but had not come in yet. I called again on the 1st and  was told had a technician quit over the weekend and they were down to one technician. They said they could have someone out on the 5th to install the window, but would call me back to confirm. I have not received a return phone call. If I had not paid half for the window I would NOT have moved forward with this company. I am very disappointed and still don't have a new window!

It started out just fine. An appointment was made for Friday at 1 PM to complete a pre-paid repair for a real estate closing. Then all went south. The installer called me twice before 9 AM on Friday to see if he could come early.
I told him I was on my way to an appointment the first time he called. And the second. No means no.
1 PM came and went. No installer. He called at 1:25 to cancel the appointment and reschedule for Saturday at noon.
At 12:20 on Saturday I called to find out where he was. He was "on his way". He arrived at 12:45 without an apology or a word and got the job finished quickly. I have also just finished cleaning up after him. He tracked dirt and leaves into the house on his three trips to the truck. The front door was left wide open as was the window he was working on as he trekked in and out. Because I have a pet this is not something I want to happen.  Window parts were left lying on the floor and dirt and debris from fixing the window were left on the windowsill. I took photos. Sullen, unprofessional, and disrespectful of my time.

Never heard from them after the initial visit to measure the openings. I actually called twice, the first call they said that they had no paperwork from the estimator and said they would find it and get back to me. I called again a few days later, I was put on hold and after about 15 minutes I hung up. I have since gotten estimates from other companies, I'm not going to beg them to take my money.

They didn't try to up sell. They were very informative, very reassuring, and gave us helpful hints. We called them back on a window that wasn't done correctly, and they were very prompt to replace the window at no charge. I am very happy with them. They even helped me move some furniture. They were very easy to work with.
