These two ladies are perfectionists but that can sometimes be a problem.  What was a month project turned into a three month project.  If the timeframe would have been three months from the beginning it wouldn't have seems so long.  We also had our floors replaced by another company so between the painting and the floors we were living in one room for quite some time.  My wife and I have no complaints concerning their work.  The house looks absolutely fabulous.  They are not cheap but they provide a quality product and are a pleasure to work with.  Very nice personalities.  There clean-up, which is just as important to me, was outstanding.   I would highly recommend this mother/daughter team but would nail down their timeframe a little better than we did...I would definitely use them in the future. 

The finished product was wonderful.  It, in no way could have come out better.  Immediately before Nancy Brown and her daughter, Shannon, were scheduled to start, a professional popcorn ceiling remover removed the popcorn from three bedrooms, two bathrooms, closets and a hall that were all adjacent in one end of the house. The popcorn remover turned out to not be a professional at all and, in fact, left a terrible mess which they were incapable of cleaning up when they left. The joints between the walls and ceilings were sloppy.   The tape they used damaged the border in one bedroom and left small spots of missing wall paper near the damaged border. In short they did a terribly sloppy job.  Custom Wall Works started right on schedule and quickly they discovered the wall under the wall paper they were removing had never been primed so the removal caused significant wall damage. The bedroom and bathrooms they were to strip and paint all had the same problem. The result was that they had to not only clean up the damaged walls but also the mess left from popcorn removal. In addition in the bedroom with the damaged border they had to remove and replace the border and they used  matching satin acrylic craft paint to touch up the wall paper. It matched perfectly and is indetectable.  During this entire process Nancy and Shannon were totally professional and pleasant.  They were very cooperative when we had to have a break in the work as we were required to go out of town. They never got the least fustrated while working through the enormous job which was not in the least their fault. The rooms they finished are beautifully done and truly flaw free. Their work is far better than I hoped for and it is by far the best I have ever seen. I would recommend Custom Wall Works to anyone and I would definitely hire them again. One last thing: their price is very, very fair.

Excellent! Very professional and friendly. James seem to genuinely care about our home repairs and situation. He even gave us great tips on how to do a few things to complete our bathroom remodel. Would definitely recommend and call again.

Working with James and Nancy is a true pleasure. A highly professional company with an eye on detail. These days it's dificult to find individuals that take such great pride in their work. On time...did a wonderful job!

Nancy responded almost immediately to my message to get an estimate. She arrived on time, measured the walls, assessed what needed to be done and gave me an estimate for the work. She carefully explained what needed to be done and told me her hourly rate if there was more damage to the walls that she couldn't see immediately. She began work within the week, worked very hard, cleaned up the area at the end of the day and did a fabulous job. Wish I could give higher than an "A"!6

See above for some of the details...  Nancy and her daughter Shannon did a fabulous job on everything they did.  The work was meticulously done and extremely professional.  Nancy can repair a wall so well that there is no trace of even having to have work done.  She is very knowledgeable, and had a way to address every challenge presented.  After painting the first coat in the living room, she saw some areas that needed further repair, so she took that opportunity to be sure it was perfect.  The results look better than new!  (I'm serious... my walls from the 1960s look better than those many new houses built today!)  Nancy and her Custom Wall Works provide full service painting and wall repair.  Other painters I've used in the past wanted to have all repairs done before they applied the paint.  Not Nancy...  she comes in and does it all!  In addition, her work ethic is incredible.  I found on Day 1 that Nancy shares my Christian faith, and she lives it and applies all the best of it to her work.  I highly recommend Nancy for your painting and wall challenges!!

We couldn't be happier with the services. We were given different options for how to space the paper. The installer also inspected the paper prior to hanging and found areas where there were imperfections in the print. These areas were cut out. Installer was also very clean in his prep space and cleaned up when he was finished.
Nancy gave us an estimate for additional areas that we are considering wallpapering and also provide approximate amount of paper needed to complete the job.

Nancy and her assistant were absolutely wonderful!  They showed up on time each day, contacted me when they had to leave the house and as they left each day.  The work was beyond outstanding!  I couldn't  tell they were there each day by the excellent clean-up completed after each days work.  These ladies are totally perfessional and their work is A+++++++.  I would definately use them again and would refer them to anyone needing wallpaper removal and painting!  I just can't say enough about them.... too good to believe!!!

Nancy was very professional, punctual and meticulous with her work. She sometimes worked long hours to accomplish the task. Everything she did was very neat and precise. The faux finish looks fantastic!!! We would definitely hire her again!

Custom Wall Works did a beautiful, professional job of painting and wallpapering my villa and even suggested and performed some detailed upgrades. They were lacking in punctuality and follow up. As long as I stayed around the villa, a full day of work was done. The painting/wallpaper job was a bigger job than they anticipated so it took longer than the estimated time.

I am so thankful I found Custom Wall Works and contracted with them to do the job. Nancy and James are very professional, hard working and extremely pleasant. I usually do my own wallpaper removal and painting, but I thought this job would be more than I wanted to tackle on my own and I am so glad I hired Custom Wall Works to do the job. There were two layers of wallpaper and the walls under the bottom layer were not properly prepared, making removal quite difficult. Nancy and James removed the wallpaper without causing further damage to the walls and repaired any faults in the wallboard. They cleaned the area when they were finished. They also gave me tips on removing wallpaper and painting. I did the painting myself and since they had prepared the walls so well, painting was a breeze. I would not hesitate to use this company again and I highly recommend them.

When I removed the old wallpaper, the walls were damanaged and needed preparation. Custom Wall works prepared the walls expertly even though this was not part of the original job. The job was completed quickly and expertyly.

Their work went flawlessly. They were on time, worked hard and listened to what I wanted and what I had to say. The millwork is beautiful and the little custom touches they added make a hugh difference. The large baseboards combined with medium size crown gave my condo an old Charleston look. I enjoyed Nancy and her son James and was just amazed how easy the whole process was. I HIGHLY recommend them for any and all work. I will use them again. I am having their name and number placed in ouor monthly condo paper because several neighbors came by to see what I was having done and just could not get over how beautiful the millwork was. If anyone out there is looking for a top notch carpender they need to call Nancy. I highly recommend them and am now just sitting back and enjoying my condo with the old south look.

They were very careful and they did a pretty good job. I think we may have to call them back for touch of work for things that might have come loose. They were very thorough and we were certainly very happy with their work.

The lady who came to work for us did do the work but she had to come back and do corrections. She did not do a good job with the trim painting. There were nailholes in the trim and we thought we would have to call in another painter to re do all the work with the trim that she had left out. Trim painting was not her area of expertise even though she claimed otherwise. She was nice but her work with the trim was not good. We just left the job like that and did not call in anyone else as they would have to start the work all over again. She maybe a good conventional painter for painting walls but she is not good with trim painting. I would not use her services in the future.

They were a wonderful group to work with. We had some problems with the new wallpaper in living room. We had to cover the old original paneling and after applied, the paneling showed through. Custom Wallworks removed the new paper, reordered it, and replaced at their own expense. They did an excellent job! I love my new living room and dining room. They also painted over the black walls in my son's bedroom. Did a fantastic job there too. They really know what they are doing and I would highly recommend them. Another great feature was that they cleaned up before they left every day so that we could still use our space in the evenings. I'm looking forward to remodeling my kitchen and office area next plan on giving them a call.

I called Custom Wall Works about 9 or 10 days before, Nancy measured the walls and ordered the moulding. James installed the moulding and made it so that everything fit in the corners and in the kitchen everything fit exactly into the cabinets. He is very careful and conscientious and takes great pride in his work. Nancy painted the moulding and the work was done with no hassle. Everything on a high ledge was put back in place by her and the room and kitchen are greatly improved. I highly recommend this team.

Nancy responded quickly and professionally with an on-site estimate, detailed with no ambiguity. the kitchen which is fairly large with 12 foot walls, both baths have 10 ft walls. the kitchen was especially difficult to deal with two layers of paper on improperly prepared walls. Nancy and James had to remove the paper with razors in small pieces to minimize the potential damage to the walls. After two days they had completed the removal with very little damage and then meticulously repaired the walls, then primed sanded and painted using eggshell latex paint and the walls were as smooth as our counter-tops. throughout the process the were punctual, very neat, they covered and sealed all cabinets and all the furniture throughout the sanding, (if you've ever been around a major sanding job the dust can be horrific). They thoroughly cleaned at the end of every day . We were able to use the kitchen and baths throughout the process. A great job! We plan to use them again for other projects.

They were very responsive in scheduling the work amongst their other clients. They were professional in manner and in keeping the work area clean and undisruptive. They communicated effectively and were sensitive to my needs. They performed the work with the upmost of quality. I love the finished product. I will definitely use them again!

I was very, very pleased with the outcome. Custom Wall Works was eager to do the job to my satisfaction. We ran into some trouble covering the paneling but they worked out the problems and at no extra cost to me, finished the work with excellent results. They always cleaned up at the end of the day and made sure our living areas were in a condition to be used. They were polite, punctual, and I plan on hiring them again for my kitchen and office remodeling.
