FAIR.  THE WOOD SHOWED A FEW IMPERFECTIONS AND THE INSTALLER HAD A COUPLE OF PIECES OF DAMAGEED WOOD.
  
 BIGGEST MISTAKE WAS FAILURE TO CARPET THE CLIENTS' PROPOSAL THAT HE COVER "3 BEDROOMS AND CLOSETS".
THE REPRESTATIVE FAILED TO COUNT AND MEASURE ONE CLOSET (ABOUT 40 SQ FEET) BECAUSED HE FAILED TO REVIEW HIS MEASUREMENTS AND DIAGRAM HIS UNDERSTANDING OF OUR PROPOSAL.
THE COMPANY MADE NO OFFER TO CORRECT THE MISTAKE.
IN ADDITION, WE AGREED AT THE SIGNING OF THE CONTRACT TO PAY 50% OF THE CONTRACT UP FRONT AND 50% OF THE CONTRACT UPON COMPLETION.  PRIOR TO FINISHING THE JOB, THE CONTRACTOR CAME AND ASKED US TO PAY $1416---IN ADDITION  TO OUR 50% INITIAL PAYMENT SO HE COULD PAY HIS INSTALLERS THEIR WAGES AND BECAUSE THE CARPET HAD ARRIVED AND HE HAD TO PAY FOR THE CARPET IN ADVANCE OF THE JOB.  THIS REQUEST CAUSED ME TO WORRY ABOUT THE COMPLETION OF THE JOB.  OTHERWISE, I THOUGHT THE ADDITIONAL REQUEST FOR FUNDS WAS STRANGE IN VIEW OF THE $50/$50 PERCENT CONTRACT AGREEMENT.
ALSO, THERE WAS NO DISCUSSION OF A DISCOUNT (ANGIES LIST) EVEN THOUGH I ADVISED HIM OF THIS AT OUR INTRODUCTION.

We were very pleased with our new floors!  Gene is very professional, accomodating, customer-oriented, detailed.  Tom, Randy and Leonard were great.  Randy did a fantastic job!  We had 5 rooms of oak hardwood installed.  Gene came and gave us the estimate and, as the wood was in stock, had his guys come the very next week.  They were done in 4 days!  We would highly recommend them.

They were excellent. I will use them again in the future.

They arrived on time and completed the work on schedule and left the areas clean and free of debree, very satisfied with the service.

Gene came to the house within a day of our call. He came prepared with samples based on what we had seen in a big box store. He researched a new product (not one of his samples) and returned to make an estimate. He specified an installation date and did the installation in one day. Gene did a very good, professional job. He and his co-workers were prepared and they cleaned up after the job. This was a job for my dad, and he and I were very pleased.

He measured all of the rooms that we were considering, he brought samples with him, and he was really patient while my husband and I decided what we wanted to do. After we chose, he remeasured so that he was sure everything was accurate.

Gene did a great job of removing old carpet and installing a gym-style rubber floor that is water proof and highly durable. I would definitely recommend him to others looking for either general or specialized carpet/flooring installations.

He came to my rental home to replace carpet padding, stretch carpet and replace baseboards. He was prompt and came as promised. Gene informed me that the water damage company that was hired butchered my rug and he did the beast he could. I would definitely hire him again.

Went great overall. Gene Conners is a good guy: works hard, does quality work, has a low overhead operation. Gave a range of carpet options and prices, was willing to negotiate, arrived on-time, performed services agreed-upon without a written contract between us, and then installed quality products in a quality manner. Only thing to improve: he did not vaccuum after the work was completed. There was much to clean-up in the way of slices/pieces of the newly installed products.

Excellent job. Three visits measuring, old floor removal, and new carpet installation. Custom Carpets and Floorcovering were punctual, professional, and knowledgeable on each visit. They worked clean and were considerate of other rooms during old flooring removal. The new carpet installation was excellent. All edges were seemlessly integrated with existing structure and carpet. I would highly recommend Custom Carpets and Floorcovering.

We selected a carpet from the samples and received a price estimate. When we compared the price with others we felt it was higher than we were prepared to pay. We went with another carpet company and received a lower price and we feel a better backed guarantee. We cannot fault the efforts of this company but felt we got a better deal from the company we selected to do the job.

I am 2 for 2 using your list. I had my car transmission repaired on your reports, worked out great and now the carpeting, but I will probably loose your service because my membership is up next month and I am cutting expenses and will not renew so thanks and good bye. Ron [email protected].

Very well, short time frame to complete work as I had company coming into town. Responded quickly.

Custom Carpet and Floor is terrific. He is professional and very honest. Friends of ours recommended him to us, as they knew how particular my husband is. If you find something that you want fixed, he comes back and takes care of it. They don't even question it.
