Due to the repair not covered by your home warranty. $149 is the flat rate for drain cleaning which includes service call, labor, and materials. It is the customers responsibility to read and understand their home warranty policy. Most home warranties consider clogged condensate drain lines lack of maintenance. Manufactures recommend routine preventative maintenance which includes condensate drain cleaning to prevent this. Your home warranty requires you to have manufacture recommended routine preventative maintenance performed on your air conditioning and heating system. The Service technician stated he advised you of this non covered repair and gave the option to get it done or not prior to completing the work for Comfort Zones flat rate level 1 price for drain clearing. If you have questions or concerns regarding your home warranty policy please contact your home warranty company for clarification ."
