I would not hire this company, disrespectful to premises and can’t manage to paint a door properly. Had to redo pretty much everything they did in the home. Very High price for low workmanship. Management is extremely unhelpful. Workers sat around doing nothing most days unless management was there. But would stop as soon as they leave. Look elsewhere for painting do not use this company.

The job was completed timely and looks great! Steve was very good to work with and Chris did an excellent job on the project. I was nervous about them having the best price because sometimes that doesn't equate to the best work, but I was pleased that this was nothing to be worried about!

First of all, the only recommendation I would give others for using this Certa Pro franchise location would be for exterior painting ONLY.   The price was reasonable and they have a designer if requested who will come out for no extra charge to you to assist with the selection of house colors if you need any recomendations.
The Certa Pro franchise owner is a General Contractor who uses several sub-contractors to do their painting and any additional work that might be requested.  For the most part they did a good job painting the entire exterior of the house.  Not particularly pleased with the restaining of the wood front door because it was not properly sanded prior to restaining.
However, I would not recommend them for any additional work as their sub-contractors were not as experienced in painting the front and back porch with SHER Crete and installing overhead ceiling panels.  It took many calls to the franchise owner to get the sub-contractors back to my home to either finish the work or correct the defects in their workmanship.  They were constantly called off my job to go to other jobs which was not professional at all.  I made so many calls to get the leaks repaired in the overhead panels, that I finally just gave up after a year. My advice, DO NOT PAY THEM until you are absolutely sure the job is to your satisfaction.
Bottom line:  I might use them again to paint the house but would not include any additonal services beyond exterior painting.

It went fine but I think it's a little bit pricey. They gave a professional estimate and at that time it was comparable because it's much cheaper that what we would gonna do with the Rhino Shield. They came in, did the work and come out with their best. They work was good except for the front door because it was red. Use them but definitely follow up them.

For starter I'm honestly not the type that leaves comments good are bad in fact i became a member of Angie's List so i could comment on the work that was performed at my home. I have to say i was really worried about picking out the right painter for my home this is our first home and after dealing with the craziness of closing on this short sale property the last thing i wanted was to get screwed on a full house paint job. i like most others got 4 estimates on the work that i wanted done (Full interior exterior redo ceiling and some ceiling repair) i have to say i was blown away at what the cost is to have your house painted? In saying that once you see the end product this isn't you and 4 of your good friends knocking this out with 4 cases of beer over a weekend. I went with CertaPro of east Jacksonville not because they were the cheapest because they weren't, but because of Steve Allen the owners company he dose the estimates, Steve took his time with me explained all the work everything was in writing and not on a napkin which one guy actually gave me! His guys were timely neat and took care of my stuff they were polite to my family but most of all these guys know how to paint!! the job inside and out was amazing the ceiling look brand new after repairs i have received so many complements on the outside paint job from my neighbors. Now there were a few things they needed to go over but Steve was great about it had his guys come back take care of the issues he promised me i would be satisfied with the job at hand, i am more then satisfied!! I can't say enough good things about his foreman Mike, this guy cares about what he dose he treated my home as if it was his own, i mean that, the attention to detail was not over looked Yes like i said earlier there were not the cheapest bid for the work, but i feel like i saved much more going with CertaPro from the work that was performed! Drive by my house look at it? My house was built in 1979, they filled in the cracks the extras that the others might have past on his men didn't. i read the negative reviews from the past? i just don't see it? Steve cares so much about his company's reputation and the job his guys do i can't image him getting a F from anyone. Look i only know if u want someone that will stand by his work HE DOSE!

The initial contact was good. The owner Steve came to the house and looked at the room. I showed him the place where I tested the removal of the wall paper and how easy it had been. He said that his crews steam wallpaper off. I said that would be fine. He said the work would take a couple of days. So, about a week later two guys show up (late) and start working. I was not at home at the time, but my partner was, just to watch the dogs and such. The workers were there for about six hours and left twice during that time. Unbeknownst to me, they decided to take a shortcut and paint over the wallpaper backing. They primed it with an oil base primer then painted it shortly thereafter with acrylic latex topcoat. Needless to say, it looks like crap. All of the old wallpaper seams are visible, the surface is rough, there's cracking where the primer hadn't dried before they applied the topcoat, and sloppy edging along the baseboards. They did not use drop cloths, they left the room dirty, took part of paint we had purchased, and overall did a really poor quality job and certainly not what I had wanted. So I called Steve the next morning to tell him that the work was not as we discussed, and what was done was really bad. He asked if he could come see it later, and I arranged to have my partner meet him at the house to show him all the problems. When they meet, Steve had the two workers with him. They say it's not that bad, and the sloppy cutting-in at the baseboard is normal. They offer to come in the next day and do more work, but by now I'm sensing Steve's condescending attitude and how this should be fine and it costs him money to do extra work (which should have done in the first place). Seriously, I've know twelve year olds who can paint better than that. Since I did not get to meet with them, I called Steve from where I was working and asked how it went. He was very short and said he'd be there tomorrow to work on it. I asked what he intended to do, since now the wallpaper backing is saturated with paint and the walls are very rough. I was concerned about the follow-on quality, since the initial quality was so bad. He said he would sand, and this and that. After some hesitation, I OK'd him to come out again but the original quote was not going to work, since the specified work was not done. He got very upset and he threatened to put a lien on my house. I told him that for the quality of what was done, and since it was not done as specified, that $300 was fair. He hung up on me. How's that for great customer service?

They were supposed to build a new mantle, my husband ended up doing it, and it was such poor work. It took them an eternity to finish, very unprofessional down the line. I would never recommend them to anyone.  They messed up just about everything.

Originally it was a little rough.  His crew that worked on my house was very talented but had some issues with timeliness and cleanliness.  However, Steve is very responsible and wants to maintain a professional business that is responsive to customers.  He was responsive to all of my discrepancies, even a year and a half after the job was done.  He is a good person who wants to do right by you.   After now working with him a year and a half, I would use him again.
