CarMax Auto Superstore - Jacksonville

I knew what car I wanted when I started shopping.  I wanted a Pre-Owned Certified Ford Flex.  I loved it and I started shopping at the Ford Dealers in the Jacksonville area.  I will review the other dealers independently, but just let me say, that I could never get a straight answer out of the local dealers and an actual out-the-door price for a Pre-Owned Ford Flex.  All of the cars had overpriced stickers, and Ford Dealers would tell me that they could discount the sticker price.  I would find a car that I liked on the lot and I would ask for an out-the-door price.  The first thing these Ford Dealers would say is "do you have a trade in?".  I would say, what difference does it make if I'm trading in my car, what is the price of the Pre-Owned Flex?  I had an existing car, but I was not sure if I was trading it in or not.  The Ford Dealers (Auto Nation for one) were not willing to give me an exact price on a used Flex - not until I told them if I was trading in my existing car and how much I expected to get in trade.  The Ford Dealers were trying to inflate the price of the Pre-owned Flex to cover the cost of any trade in value they would be putting towards the purchase.  They were not being honest, it was a racket and I was growing tired of the bologna.  I experienced this over and over at each of the local Ford Dealers... so I went online to Carmax.  
Carmax @ Jacksonville West, is a fantastic dealer ship. They publish the out-the-door prices for the cars they have on their website.  The price is all inclusive.  The only things not included in the sticker price are the state title, taxes and license fees, and the costs for a warranty.    (Those costs are variable for each car so they will give you those numbers independently.) Every car has a sticker price and it is non-negotiable.  They will buy your car outright - whether or not you buy a car from them.  They give you a FAIR price for your trade in.  I was so shocked it was such a pleasant experience.  I found a car I liked, I found it and it was in another city in Central Florida.  Carmax, put a hold on the car for me, and brought it to Jacksonville West for me to see it.  I knew I wanted it immediately.  The cost for a new 2012 Ford Flex Limited was $41,000.00.  I purchased a beautiful 2012 Ford Flex Limited, with 25K miles, and a three year extended warranty to 150,000 miles through Carmax Auto Finance for $26,000.00.  it was the deal of a century and the selling experience was so fantastic.  I will never ever buy another car in the private dealership racket again.  I strongly suggest Carmax - and the Jacksonville location on Blanding Blvd. is really great.
