I called them Monday and they came the same day because I have a leaking water in my water heater. They came right out to fix it. They did a great job coming right out the same day because I didn't have any water that night. It happened at night and I have to turn my water off Sunday night.

I have used Broward Home Factory Warranty for many years. I use them for my primary home and I have used them with my rental property. I purchased another condo December 27, 2012 and bought the gold plan. I was told that everything was covered with the home warranty plan I purchased. On April 17, 2013 my air condition went out and I was told that the unit was very old and the part that I needed could not be replaced so I would have to buy a new air condition. When I purchased the Gold plan home warranty they told me that everything was covered under the gold plan but when my air condition went out they called me and told me that I would have to pay 2,650.00 to replace my unit. When I spoke to the Manager at Broward he told me that my unit was not covered because it was a 10 seer air-condition and they told me that the new law in Florida says that I needed a 13 seer air condition so therefore my unit was not covered. I told him that when I purchased the warranty they knew that my unit was a 10 seer unit so why did they not tell me that my air condition was not covered. He told me that he was not the one that sold me the contract. I told him that the person that sold me the contract represented Broward so why won’t they honor the warranty. He told me the best that he could do was take 250.00 off of my unit. Being that my tenant was in desperate need for an air condition I had no choice then to allow Broward to put the air condition in for me. I was very disappointed in Broward for selling me a contract that then knew it was a catch 22 in it that if anything went wrong with the air condition that they would be able to get out of replacing my unit. I feel like they did false advertising in selling a contract that they had no intention in honoring.

OK, so are you looking for a service company? That's what BFS is all about, just doing the basics. AC, water heater, refrigerator, and stove. I've been using them for over 15 years, and sometimes they spent way more money on me; other years they made out . BFS is more of an AC company that does the other stuff, not really experts on all the new wiz bang appliances.
I see the same guys all the time for years, so there is not much of a turnover at the shop. Now you can read complaints online like:" I bought a contract and my pool pump went out, they didn't replace/fix it" So you need to keep in mind they are a SERVICE company with a small fleet of trucks and a payroll to meet. They can't stay in business replacing everything that's broke! Sometimes you just have pony up and buy a new one yourself, or suffer with the old one.
Once you've been with them for awhile, they will take care of you. If you have anything covered with a computer board, make sure to get the specific coverage because they can cost a lot.
Here in Jacksonville, they answer the phone, come out in a reasonable period of time, and do the best job they know how.

Our overall experience with Broward Factory Service has been Excellent!

We had our air conditioning system checked prior to using it for the Summer 2011.

The technician arrived on the date and at the time scheduled and was professional during the time at our home.

Service to home is fine. Getting them to provide a contract is another story.

Service was fast and the two men were very nice and professional and they came out on a Thursday. For the most part they left my house as they found it and cold air was blowing all night. However, the next morning (Friday) the coils had frozen again and where dripping into the bathroom below through the vent. I called them and explained that I had to go to New Orleans to evacuate family (hurricane Gustav) and that it would be horrible to bring an 82 year old woman and an infant into a home without air. I was flying out that afternoon, but they rearranged their schedule in order to come out the same day (Friday) and ensure the repair. I left a key and when I returned with two cars full of people on Sunday at 1 AM, the house was very cool. It has been 10 days since they returned and it has been going non-stop and cooling beautifully! Thank you Broward, you are definitely on my recommend list.

I had a contract with them since 1994. Every year, the price went up and the service went down. My water heater was leaking. I called several times to have someone come out and look at it. A worker came out and looked at it and told me to put some paper down. He said I might have some problems with my water softener. So I turned the water softener off. The water heater continued to leak. I called a plumber that looked at it and told me that there was going to be a fire if I let it continue to leak. So I had the plumber call Broward and tell them the issue. In about an hour, Broward sent workers that came out and talked to the plumber. Two days later, they replaced the water heater with a new one. I was disappointed that they would not listen to me, but would listen to the plumber. Unfortunately, this happened to me multiple times with other appliances that I had under warranty with Broward.

The serviceman was there the day after my call, on time and pleasant. I know they replaced condenser parts. I was glad they had what they needed right on the truck. They knew what they were doing and were honest and fair. I do recommend them.

We have been using Broward Factory Service for about five years now. The service guys are very nice and very knowledgeable. I have had no problem with them in the past.
