"This is not a BiltRite customer. We did bot perform an inspection at this address or for any client by this name. Please remove this posting."
When we were concluding the inspection, our builder's supervisor came by and Michael then took the time to walk back through all of his findings again and explain them to the builder so that he could have a first hand explanation of the defect and what the desired corrective measure was. I highly recommend to ANYONE building a new home that even if you don't hire Michael, to make sure you get a pre-drywall inspection!! Don't just take the builder's word for it. Michael found issues such as a few bowed studs that could have presented an issue post-drywall, several potential water intrusion issues, roofing defects and general workmanship defects that I never even noticed. He produced the report electronically on his tablet and emailed it immediately for all concerned parties to see and reference.
What's great about Michael's inspection services is that he provides a follow-up inspection to give you the peace of mind that all of the deficiencies have actually been fixed. And boy was Michael a life saver for us here! After the pre-drywall inspection, he went out when the builder was preparing to stucco our home to do his follow up and found MORE issues that presented a serious water intrusion concern in his professional opinion. Naturally the builder pushed back, but Michael went above and beyond, talking on the phone several times with me and then took the time to write an email response showing the pictures and stating what needed to be corrected AND personally called the builder's representative, revisiting the home to re-explain the defect and even attending a conference call between the builder's representatives, us and our realtor..
After a month of his hard work and persistence the builder finally changed his mind and agreed to the vital fix between the soffit and roof joints..
Michael is concerned with ensuring that his customers get what they pay for, get a quality home that will stand the test of time and to protect them from all of the faulty construction methods that he unfortunately encounters every day in his practice. We are so much more comfortable with the home building process since we hired him and will definitely be using him in the future for our Final Home inspection. I would highly recommend Michael to anyone who is considering buying a home, either new construction or pre-owned.
