"Thank you for the review. We are glad we met your expectations of the work that was performed."
Salesperson Eric was very personable and helpful when I decided to sign the contract with Big Fish. We agreed on a start date and it rained the first two days, so they came the third day and started removing my old roof. The next day they did not show up to finish the job so my roof was left undone for 2 days. After several attempts to contact Eric he admitted the crew went to start another job. I told him I was VERY unhappy that they left more than half my roof with NO shingles. He tried to assure me it was safe and it wasn't going to rain, but that didn't matter. The crew SHOULD have finished what they started. You don't start something then leave it less than half finished! Also, he stuck me with an extra $50 in the final bill. Eric claimed they needed an extra sheet of plywood but they did NOT inform me of that before they decided to use another sheet of plywood.
They did clean up very well. There were no nails or scraps anywhere after they were done. Despite this and the fact that Eric was helpful in the beginning, I will not recommend Big Fish to anyone.
"[member name removed], Thank you very much for your review on Angie's List. We greatly apologize for any miscommunication that took place during your re-roof process with Big Fish Roofing. The reason we did not come back to your property on the second day was because we had to wait for the city to come out and complete their in-progress inspection. With the in-progress inspection we are forced to stop working and leave the roof half completed so the city is able to inspect our work. Unfortunately, due to rain earlier that week, the inspector was behind schedule and did not come until after 3 p.m. that day, leaving us no time to come back and complete your roof on the second day. However, we do greatly apologize for not properly relaying that information to you during the process. As for the additional wood at the end of the project, it should have been expressed to you that we are legally required to replace any and all wood rot on the decking of your roof before re-shingling. Again, we apologize that you were not informed before hand that we needed more wood than was allotted on your contract. Please feel free to call our office to discuss with the Manager about any concerns you may still have. Customer service is our number one priority and we do not wish for any customer to be left feeling unsatisfied."
