Our neighbor hired them to remove a tree on our property. They parked their truck in the neighbors yard directly above the septic tank. The truck flipped on its side and the crane landed on my house. Their response? “ don’t worry, we have good insurance”. And did I mention? No one had permission to remove a tree on my property.

I contacted Big Ben's because of the great revies I read on Angies. Also, it was clear that he had the proper equipment to handle the complicated job. Ben Geiger the owner came out and looked at my trees and location to the neighbors buildings. He said he would have to do the job himself because of the location and the fact that he could not get a crane truck through my property and back to the site. He did bring a self-propelled lift on tracks which could b get back intyo the woods near the trees. It was amazing to see him work. He used the standing pine tree as a fulcrum to rope down all of the limbs of the oak including the very large limb which extended over the neighbors out building. And he never set foot on the neighbors property! It was an amazing show! I found Mr. Geiger to be absolutely professional and straightforward and honest. The crew was respectful of my property and cleaned up well after. I would not hesitate one second to hire Big Ben's for any future forestry need.

We had used Big Bens previously to take out a large pine tree that was started to uproot and was leaning perilously over our master bedroom. They did a great job then so we called them back for this job. The estimate came in at what the insurance estimator had projected. They were here when they said they would be, took down the tree and cleaned everything up. I will definitely call again if needed.

Ben Geiger (owner) elected to do this job himself (with his crew). Because of the confines of the back yard, he was unable to get a crane in to pull the trees out vertically. Instead, he had to use a specialized 90 foot lift to take the 100 foot trees down piece by piece. He said it was the "old school" approach, but the only way given an adjacent fence and structures. His work was masterful. It was amazing to watch. He was able to rope and remove a huge oak limb hanging out over the neighbor's outbuilding without ever going onto her property. No damage to anyone's property and they did a great job of cleaning up. He is truly a master and has the big equipment to do such jobs.

Thank you Big Ben's! Had a BIG oak land and come through our roof during Hurricane Irma. Big Ben's used a crane to pick the tree up off of the roof which ensured no further damage to the roof or shrubs. I want to add that the quote and work were done in one day at a reasonable price!

If you ever need tree work done, hands down there's only two companies I would recommend Big Ben's is number one. I've been using them for 30 years. Yes, he's not going to be the cheapest by any means, but you know what? Nobody comes close to the quality of work, the responsiveness. They will be here when they say they will be here. They will do exactly what they said. The problem that I've got with most tree services is they come and take care of the tree, but left ruts in the yard, they tore the yard up. Big Ben's when he leaves; you don't know he was here. The tree is gone, you don't know he was here. He's an arborist. He's got the arborist designation. I think it's only two tree surgeons in North Florida. He's not going to be the cheapest by any means. When I have an issue with a tree which is once a year. I just call and say hey, put me on your list come get it when you can. I don't even price him. Him and another company that I deal with on a regular basis that I don't price them to make sure that they're not trying to rip me off. I've got a long-running rapport with both of those companies. Over the years I found them consistently over the years, they do the right thing. It took them one day to complete the job. Typically they show up with five or six guys. Just consistency. Overall, they always do what they said they're going to do when they said they're going to do. It looks better when they leave than it did when they came. He does a lot of work for the state of Florida.

Ben and his crew were quick to arrive and complete the job. The only issue we encountered was with a broken spigot that we were left on our own to repair. Otherwise, everything went fine. The remaining tree is beautiful, and the fallen tree was removed in an amazing way with Ben in the tree and a crane taking the logs out over the house. Entertaining to watch, for sure! And, the crew left us plenty of good firewood in a nice stack.

Team arrived several minutes early and immediately got to work taking down three trees, one of which was a huge pine bordering 4 houses. They worked at warp speed to get the trees down and removed from the yard, stumps ground and all clean up.

We weren't even there we call them and had them do it, but I think I appreciate was we thought it was gonna have to be two removals turns out only be one because they knew the tree, they had a guy there whose like sort of like a tree doctor and he said he knew the exact type of  growth it was he knew the longevity of it he said no no this tree have at least thirty years of life left there is no parasite  it just needs pruning up so that the branches don't way them selves down so we were actually able to save that tree.

The knowledgeable ability of the exact breed of trees, so he knew the longevity, he knew what to look for, I was just ecstatic.

The crew showed up on time and ready to go. They were going to remove the tree from the driveway but we still had a large pile of mulch there that hadn't been installed yet so had to do it for the front yard, as the tree was in the back.



It went quickly and our neighbors were happy that they took care not to damage their tree across the street with the crane bringing the hickory over our house, over power lines, and dropping the sections in the street where they quickly reduced it to manageable parts and loaded the wood on the hauling truck.



This included sump grinding, and I'd Like to mention here that I have had trees removed before and when the stump was ground it was never adequately done to replant anything. Big Ben's removed the stump deeper and wider than any company I've ever used and removed the chips so that all we had to do was add some dirt and plant.

It went very smoothly, very professional, and they did a 1 1/2 day job in only 1 1/2 hours.  About a 10-12 man crew and everyone knew their job to a tee.  They cleaned up everything right down to blowing the debris off of the driveway.  They were a well oiled machine.   I was extremely pleased with the job and would recommend them to anyone.

Big Bens did an outstanding job!  They showed up on time when keeping the appointment to provide an estimate.  They successfully removed a 30+ year old oak tree from my yard that was close to the house that had several large limbs hanging over the house roof and pool screen enclosure.  They worked carefully and efficiently - showed up promptly at 8am and were finished by 11am.  I was amazed.  They also thinned and trimmed oak tree limbs from 3 other large oak trees in my back yard, so that now i have sunlight (and less leaves to rake).  I plan to use them again in the future for some front yard tree work and I'd highly recommend them to anyone seeking to use their services.  The crew was courteous, polite and professional.  Bird feeders, windchimes and bird baths that they took down to keep from harm's way were reinstalled without me lifting a finger.

Two of the trees were very close to the house and they were very careful. They didn't damage any of the surrounding azaleas nor the small Magnolia tree that was just feet from one of the trees that was removed. They cleaned the roof and all of the surrounding area. The also removed all of the debris including most of the wood chips. They arrived promptly in the morning and did all of the work in less than 3 hours. They brought in cranes and did no damage to our yard. One would never know that they had been there. Great job! We would highly recommend them. We had five different estimates and they were very competitive in their pricing. They did quote us to remove part of the driveway that was damaged by tree roots and to haul the old concrete away. This was going to be $950 which is very over priced. I would not recommend them for that portion of their services. All of the workmen were polite and did excellent work.

It took three hours. At least ten workers came out. They were very professional. They picked up everything. It was absolutely remarkable. They left it like they were not there.

After reading the Angie's List reviews we called Big Ben to trim back a couple trees that were growing too far over the house and
driveway. Everything went fine with the job. Over 3-months later I received a duplicate bill. When I called the office the receptionist was extremely rude. She claimed her database crashed, but they had no record of my payment and it was 61-90 days past due. I had called the office and made payment by credit card the day after the work was completed –when I told her this she got nasty and then hung up on me. I called right back- she did not apologize. Just said she would look into it and call me back, but they had no record of my payment. I’m sorry if their computers crashed, but this is bad business. I won’t pay twice. I wouldn't use them again.

Provider was the low bidder out of three bidders. They arrived on time with the proper equipment. The dead tree was trimmed down to a height where the rest of it could be felled. Cleanup was good and the sections were hauled away. It all took less than two hours.
I've used Big Ben's before and will again. If I had a negative to express, it was that the workers were coarse in their language, which would have been embarrassing had some of my neighbors in this ethnically diverse area heard them. Otherwise, all went well.
