Horrible Customer Service! Working with Best fence went fairly smoothly until they had my 50% deposit, which was required to schedule the fence install. That's when their service went downhill, fast. I scheduled to have my fence installed over a month before the date I needed the fence up. A few days before fence install date I called to confirm that everything was on schedule. The response I got from the receptionist was that the fence was scheduled for install almost 2 months beyond when it was originally scheduled and they had no record of the original schedule date. I asked if I could get a refund on my deposit so I could go to another fence company that could get it done quicker. They would not let me get a refund because the "material had probably already been purchased". I worked for 2 weeks trying to move the fence install date up closer to my original date. This required numerous phone calls with dead promises by the different receptionists that they would call me back with an answer and never did. Finally I was able to reach a manager and get a more acceptable install date. A few days before the install date I called again to confirm they were coming out and was told they had moved my install date back again a few weeks without telling me. I worked with the manager to again schedule a closer date. Once the company came out to do the work (about a month past originally planned date) the workers were polite and did a good job but I again had problems later. I had to take down one fence post to allow for equipment in the back yard and called Best Fence to see if I could get them to come back to put the fence section back up. I was told they would need to do an estimate which I was fine with and they would get back to me. I talked to a receptionist on 4 different occasion over a two week period trying to get a time when they would do the estimate. Each time I was promised a call back that day and never received one. After the 4th call I gave up on them responding and have yet to get a call back from them to repair the fence (weeks later) Avoid this company at all costs. If you decide to go with them, expect canceled appointments (without them notifying you) and horrible customer service trying to resolve any issues you may have.

We contacted Best fence in early May for a quote on removal of an 13+ year old wooden fence and replacement with a new white vinyl fence. We were contacted by Jimmy who was prompt and professional when he provided us with a very competitive quote for the 250' of fence we needed. We had approximately 6 other quotes from other Angie's List rated providers. With estimates ranging from $2300 to $8000+ for wood and vinyl. We initially wanted a new wood board on board fence and were almost going to go with an installer that had great reviews however for just $600 more we could get the "Lifetime" (30 years) vinyl from Best Fence. We elected to go with Jimmy's team at Best Fence for the following reasons: 1) Cost 2) Warranty 3) Each job is made to order right here in jacksonville. Unlike other companies who order their material in bulk where it has the potential to sit out in the elements for who knows how long, and not having very tight control over the manufacturing quality control, Best Fence stood out as the clear leader. 4) There were several jobs Best Fence had done in my neighborhood that we checked out that all looked great. The scheduling process was pretty easy and the office staff was helpful in getting all required documents that they needed. Initially we were scheduled for two days early in June, but were notified that due weather and manufacturing delays we would be slid to the middle of the month. Not a huge issue, just something I had to re-coordinate with my work schedule. We were told the job would take two days for removal and install.
So as they promised the day prior to install I received a phone call confirming the next days install. The morning of, right on schedule Keith and his assistant showed up and were very polite, introducing themselves and walking the job to find out all the particulars. Because we have a pool and dogs, the installers only wanted to take down and install one section at a time. This was a concern of mine but Keith and team worked very fast and accuratley to ensure our pool was not un-protected for any extended period of time. The only real complaint I had about the whole process was not Keith or any of the workers, but with their leadership and management. It was clear that halfway through the second day the guys were going to be pulled off my job for a more "important" commercial job that had to be finished ASAP. This decision was made by Keiths supervisor and not his call. He was very polite and explained he would be back the next morning to finish up at 0730. So the next morning we expected the crew to show up again early to get started, however it wasn't until Keith called us around 0900, informing us that again his boss requested he go assist on another job before finishing ours. Keith and crew didn't arrive until 1100, but as promised he did complete the job on the third day. So instead of the two days it took three. Primarily due to weather but also due to having crews work multiple jobs at once. I guess when your the best in town, the jobs tend to pile up quickly! They did an excellent job with explaining the care and adjustment of the fence panels, gates, and hardware and cleaned up every last bit of the old fence. I would highly recommend Best Fence if you are considering a new Vinyl fence. They have a great product and very knowledgeable sales and installer crews. I just would recommend they do a better job communicating with customers at the right level when plans change. Thanks again!

We had an excellent experience from start to finish. Jimmy Jones came out to the property before we even closed on the house to measure and provide an estimate. Once we moved in we met with Jimmy to fine tune the project. We appreciated his suggestions and were impressed that they were even going to coordinate with our HOA for approval. This made it a lot easier on us. Once we gave them the go-ahead Deana coordinated all the details and provided excellent communication. Once HOA approval was obtained they ordered the materials and were ready to install the fence a couple of weeks later. Jordan was the lead installer and he walked the job with us to make sure we were on the same page prior to installation. He addressed all my concerns and communicated with me if anything was in doubt. They had some challenges due to the slope of our property but they handled it all in stride. Once they were finished we were blown away by how good it looked and how well they transitioned the levels of the slope. We have dealt with numerous companies since the move, but Best Fence was by far the most responsive, quality conscious, and professional. We can recommend them highly without hesitation.

This review can only address the pre-sales process, the facilities that we observed and the professionalism of the office staff. For these subjects, we could not rate this company and its staff more highly. When we are actually ready to fence the properties that we own, Stephens will most definitely be one of the companies we will ask to bid. If they do the work for us, we will follow up with an update.

Cost was for 325 ft of vinyl fence will lattice work. It included two gates. Workers were punctual, fast and efficient. Only delay in getting fence installed was approval from HOA which Best Fence filed the application for me.

The installer arrived on time, didn't destroy our landscaping, and was very precise. My husband is an engineer and was satisfied with his work. My only complaint was that the installer smoked and left some cigarette butts on our property.

I would highly recommend Best fence. Their pricing was the lowest quote we'd received. Their sales staff, office staff and installers were all very nice. I only gave them a "B" on punctuality not because they didn't show up on time, but b/c they had quite a waiting list (about a month) ahead of us. Other than that, I can't say enough positive things about them.

I've had bad experiences with fence companies where they either don't show up for estimates or they never return my call when I want to discuss the estimate they provided. One guy said he'd come back and stood me up twice!! So, it was with resignation that I called Best Fence and what a huge relief!! The rep who came for the estimate was professional...and the ladies I spoke to were wonderful about calling me back and going over the details. Having gotten estimates from several companies, their quote was very competitive.
They took care of the ARC forms and when the approvals came in, they were ready to install. The installers were very professional. They did a walkthrough afterwards and I am very very happy with my fence. It has actually enhanced my yard.
Will definitely recommend this company to my friends and family.

We had a pleasant experience with BestFence and were overall very happy with the service and quality and the price was reasonable. We fenced our back yard immediately after we moved into our new home so our dog could be outside. Jimmy came out and gave us an estimate. I also received quotes from other companies (lowes, etc) that were a few hundred lower so Jimmy was able to match the competitor pricing and in my opinion provided much better service than i would have received if i had gone with another company. Originally the Best Fence company said it would be a month before someone could install the fence, but Jimmy made sure it was installed as soon as the materials were received, within 2 weeks of my order. It took a team of 2 men, 2 days to install the fence, and they did a very nice job given my lot is not level. At the end of installation, I noticed that not as many 6 ft panels were used as I was quoted in the price. I called the company and they sent Jimmy out and he counted total fence installed vs quoted and made sure I was not charged for the unused portion. I am not sure if this would have been done if I did not proactively check on instal vs. quote, but they handled it quickly and without issue. We have had many people over to our home since fence install, and all comment on what a nice job they did installing the fence. Overall, I would recommend Best Fence, but it's good to get other quotes to help lower the price. Also, because they did lower the price from the original quote they would not honor an 'Angie's List' discount coupon, so I received the same price even if I wasn't a member of Angie's List.

The process was relatively smooth from start to finish. We had a brief hiccup with the fencing along the back that delayed finishing the project that day. Overall, the crew did a great job and the office staff is on top of everything. Very professional and pleasant. Kudos to Jimmy as well.
