Movers showed up 1 hour early which was the only issue i had, as I was not finished packing. However, as I continued to pack as they were loading, they offered to moved many items that had not been packed. Crew was very professional and courteous. Move was made in far less time than I thought it would take

Awful, avoid at all costs as there are many more reputable and professional movers in Jacksonville, Fl. Do not be fooled by the North American Van Lines logo indicating they are an agent. I have moved with NAVL twice and this local mover is not worthy of the logo. They lack the professionalism and integrity that NAVL demonstrates. Furniture was damaged and owner refuses to take responsibility for damage caused by their movers. Movers admitted to damage and took pictures to show owner. Owner claims pictures were taken before move even though background in pictures is at new location(caught in a lie).They also low ball estimates in terms of hours required. My estimate was for 6-7 hours when in fact the move took 9 hours and 45 minutes resulting in 3 additional billed hours. There were no changes to what was being moved when the estimate was provided. This is a common tactic among dishonest moving companies. Look elsewhere.

I hired this moving company on the recommendation of a friend who had used them in the past. They were scheduled to arrive between 12-1, and didn't arrive until almost 2pm. This was not a huge deal, as I’m a reasonable person who understands that things don’t always go as planned, and previous jobs sometimes take longer than expected. Upon arrival, they had me show them what needed to be moved, which consisted of the furniture ONLY in 2 bedrooms. I hired 2 movers for 2 hours at $110/hr plus $110 for the truck they used for the move. I figured it would be no problem moving 2 bedrooms to a location less than 20 miles away in 2, maybe 3 hours with 2 guys. Everything seemed to go well at first, until I went upstairs and when I came back down saw there was a chunk of drywall missing from the corner of the wall at the bottom of the stairs. I pointed it out to one of the movers, and he went to talk to the other one about it. I was under the impression they were going to take a photo, maybe to have it repaired, but I didn’t waste any more time on it and went back to packing things downstairs. They were moving right along until they got to an armoire, which they couldn't figure out how to get around the corner at the bottom of the stairs. It was also at this time that I realized they weren’t wrapping the furniture, which all moving companies I have hired in the past have done. After about 20 minutes of trying to get the piece down, they called someone and it sounded like one of them wanted him to come there. I am not sure who they called, but I was under the impression that it was a supervisor or the owner (I thought they said it was Mike). One of them wanted to wait for him, and the other said it would take 40 minutes and they didn’t have that kind of time, so they continued trying to get the piece down the stairs. After about an hour of wrestling with it and arguing about what they needed to do, they decided to remove the doors to get it out. After this incident, they were clearly unhappy with each other and didn’t seem to work well together, which I also feel slowed things down a bit. I left ahead of them to go and get the new house opened up and ready for them. Right before I left, they came out and told me they had broken a vase that was near the door. At this point, I just wanted to get the move completed and told them not to worry about it. Once they arrived at the new place, they moved everything in pretty quickly. They had propped up the mirror for my dresser against a wall, and while they were setting up other furniture, the mirror fell flat on the floor, but luckily had no damage. Other than this, everything went smoothly setting up at the new place. I signed the paperwork saying the job had been completed and paid for the job. I told them not to worry about the drywall on the corner of the stairs, that we would patch it ourselves. Once I went back over to the old place to get some more boxes, I saw where there were SEVERAL significant dents in the drywall near the bottom of the stairs, which is where they had been struggling with the armoire. I also noticed that there was damage to 2 pieces of my furniture; one of my dressers had a gouge, and the one they wrestled with had damage near the feet. I was pretty upset, but there was nothing I could do at this point except repair all of the damage myself, as the house was under contract and there was no time. I did contact the company, and made them aware of it, but I never heard back from anyone about it. I thought someone would at least contact me to come and take a look at the damage. I also found that the movers had left some tools at my house, and let them know that as well, and asked that they arrange for them to be picked up. The guy who owned the tools called me and said he would call one day soon and pick them up, but I didn’t hear back again. After about 2 weeks, I contacted them again to see if they were going to come and pick up the tools, and they did finally do it a couple of days later. Had the armoire not taken an hour to move, the move would've been completed faster and it wouldn't have cost me as much as it did. The entire move took 4 hours and cost me $550 for only the furniture in 2 bedrooms; I have hired moving companies before, and they moved my entire house for little more than that. I don’t mind paying more if the service is good, because I do believe a lot of times you get what you pay for. This unfortunately was not the case. The soul purpose of me hiring a moving company was to prevent damage to my home and furniture. Regrettably, this company damaged both, and I would’ve probably been better off to do it myself. The bottom line is that I wouldn’t hire this company in the future, as they were careless and unresponsive, and too expensive for the quality of work that I received.

Baymeadows Moving and Storage are simply the best. Lucky us the date of our move it was practically a monsoon. The three man team we had were incredible. They wrapped everything and basically waterproofed all of our furniture, etc. They were speedy loading and unloading the truck so the boxes only got a little damp. They were awesome.

Our last moving experience 21 years ago was terrible. Father & Son sent three senior citizens who complained the entire time and surprised us with hidden fees. But this experience with Baymeadows Moving was in every way outstanding! Three strong young men showed up on time and worked their butts off all day. They were friendly and very professional. Efficient with time, too. They realized it would take more time to try to pack everything in for one trip than it would take to do two trips, so they recommended the latter. Time is money, after all. They were terrific pre-move, too. A representative came out to our house to see what we were moving to better estimate what would be required and how much time it would take. Their estimate was pretty spot on. In fact, it took LESS time than they thought. Our realtor highly recommended them to us, as did a friend who used them last year. Now I give them my highest recommendation.

Excellent- showed up on time, had three persons hired who coordinated the moving well, emptying a 2400 sf condo in a little over 2 hours, they then dropped some items to our house before taking rest to storage unit- they packed the items in the storage unit efficiently

They were competitive and reasonable in price, for what I had to move. I would consider them. All the movers that I talked to there, and there were three that I got prices with, for the service and warranty type work, they were on all par. Baymeadows stood out a little bit higher, which is why I selected them. I would consider them again. I had a little bit of damage. It was minor, and I handled it myself, and hardly any cost to it.

The team of 3 movers assigned to me were fantastic. Danny was the lead, and all 3 of these guys were amazing! They worked very well together, treated my belongings with full care and respect, extremely well mannered, pleasant, cooperative, and they hustled for 8 hours straight! Highly recommended. 5+ stars!!!

Fantastic. Everything made it. I had one flower pot that was damaged that they wrapped. No biggy. They did such a good job wrapping the furniture, etc. I handled packing my own boxes. Wonderful, polite people on each end of the move.

My move went about as pleasant as a move could go thanks to these guys! This was my first big move as an adult with children. They showed up right on time and instantly went into action. They quickly and efficiently emptied the old house and loaded up the truck. It truly was a sight to see! I felt they were giving me the most for my money and time by working so quickly. The foreman "Lucky" was very professional and coordinated his crew very well. They were all polite saying "yes ma'am" and following any directions that I gave them. They worked very hard the entire time and were going to work through lunch until I made them stop to eat. They took great care of my things and property and not one single thing was damaged. Pretty amazing! I highly recommend this moving company and especially this crew. It was a very pleasant experience.

Prompt and professional.One piece broken and taken for repair and one piece didn't arrive on truck. Was found and brought within a week. Unsure if anything else has not made it's way to me because last group of marking stickers not recorded on paperwork.
