I hired Bay Pete Concrete after receiving three bids for some concrete work I need done. I was told this was a small job and would be done on a weekend. I hired them, even though they were the most expensive, I liked Marcus and felt he was professional and answered my questions. We agreed on a start date and they day came and went. No call or communication. I called and was told that they got hung up at another job and they would be there Monday. Monday came and went and they did call and say they would be there Tuesday. You get the idea. They finally showed up late one afternoon and stayed to past 9PM which my neighbors didn't like. The job was done over the next two weeks. The Shed Pad was so out of level, Tuff Shed, who installed the shed, said he really hadn't seen anything worse. It should have been a drop of 1/4" over 12" and was closer to 3/4" over 12" snf not level at all! Needless to say, Tuff Shed used A LOT of shims. Bay Pete also brought in a bobcat to dig up the grass for the shed’s concrete pad. The literally ruined my grass and again, they were here to late in the evening. They told me no worries; the grass will come back fine. I had to purchase SOD to repair the grass it was so bad. The walkway wasn't much better. I asked for a 48" wide walkway a minimum of 3" thick. They installed a 39" walkway that crumbled on the edges the minute I drove my John Deere S130 over it. OMG! Seriously? I brought this to their attention and... nothing. Wow. In the process of digging, they also took out four of my six irrigation zone. To their defense, the pipes were not buried as far down as they should have been. When they hit the irrigation main pipe, they did repair it for me. I had to repair the four zones. Thank God my son-in-law knows how to do this. I am so tired of dealing with these folks that I'll most likely fix the walkway myself. I'm sure I can do a better job than Bay Pete Concrete. Please, avoid this nightmare. I'll certaily let you know if they come back and offer to fix the walkway but I'm not holding my breath.
