Description of Work: Sorry, but all I did was to ask them if they knew of a person who could mend an antique chair. They told me about someone and I used him and he was excellent. I asked him if he would like to be put on Angie's List and he was noncommital as he gets more work than he can do now.

Description of Work: I bought a beautiful antique chandelier at Avonlea and they carefully packed it into a box for me to take home. My handy man came over to put it up for me and said there was a problem and it couldn't be hung. I took it back to Avonlea very upset, where their store manager, Bea treated me to lunch, while she drove to a lighting store, got the small part needed to hang it properly, called and co-ordinated with my handyman to meet me back at my house and it now hangs in my dinning room. It is so beautiful and I want to thank them for going above and beyond helping a senior citizen solving a problem. As for my handyman........
