Atlas Scientific Technologies

I was given a bogus asbestos sample by my realtor.  I took it to Atlas Scientific and they were extremely kind.  They told me that what I had was clearly just attic insulation and spent time looking at photos of the asbestos areas on my phone.  They told me in their opinion, the photos on my phone showed probable asbestos, but that my sample was almost certainly not taken from the suspected area.  I had them test it anyway so I could prove that I had been given a bogus sample.  They tested the sample while I waited (which isn't typical).  When it came back as common attic insulation, they were very sympathetic and gave me advice on what to do next.  They even told me how I could collect my own sample (but I was too afraid to try it).  They offer full home testing, but it was out of my price range.  I ended up using an asbestos abatement company who sent a tech to take an accurate sample.  The tech took it to Atlas and Atlas promptly e-mailed me the positive results.
