Countertop and Backsplash Service
It is worth it to pay a couple hundred dollars more and go with a reputable company. The installers came, they were in a hurry. They installed our sink backwards. They were rude when I asked them to fix it. They scratched the new stainless sink all up. The counter top was put in crooked and seamed with a light color (when the countertop was dark). They left it in a completely unsafe shimmed condition with wood shims sticking out in several places. I spent hours fixing their shimming job and making the counter safe. They also got caulk all over the place. They placed the dishwasher on top of its water line which cut off the water and scratched up the top of my new stainless steel dishwasher. I complained, and they sent out the same crew who then reinstalled the counter crooked again. This time they bent my brand-new stainless-steel gas range. On the 3rd try the counter is reasonably straight. They said they would fix my appliances in a few weeks. After 2 months they called to schedule the repairs. Needless to say, we had already repaired our appliances. When I attempted to pay them online, they couldn't process an electronic billing statement from their system correctly.. They charged my bank account instead of my credit card for which I filled out and signed authorization. Then they started the process of putting a lien against my home even though I signed an authorization to charge my credit card, They were extremely rude when I attempted to resolve this issue. Stay away from this bogus company.

"Art Stones is a very reputable company. Otherwise we would not have been in business for 16 years. Here is the truth. Yes you did claim there were issues with installation, yet your husband signed off on the installation paperwork as being satisfied and complete. My crew was sent back to correct any issues that you claimed. You were also told before we even installed your tops that your cabinets were 3/4 of an inch unleveled and my company is not responsible for any cabinet issues. Anything that was a problem was resolved and the parts damaged had replacements ordered. You did not wait 2 months for the parts you waited exactly 29 business days, the moment the parts were in town, you were called by my office and the company that the parts came from. We called you for a week with no response, then when you did respond, you lied and said you had already had the parts overnighted to you. The parts were then sent back after you accused my office manager of lying and arguing that it does not take that long to get parts. You were given the number to the appliance company from my office manager for you to call and verify that the parts did take 29 business days. You tried to get the owner of the company to allow you to come pick up the parts after telling my office manager you already had the parts. The total of the parts minus the $100.00 restocking fee you caused my company for lying, was taken from the final invoice as a courtesy. When you were asked to pay the final balance, you said your credit card had been stolen. You were sent a credit card authorization form to fill out and send back allowing the final balance to be ran. You gave us a card that had a permanent block on it and were asked again to send over a valid form of payment, you stalled that process for another week. Your stolen credit card account you are accusing of being charged fraudulently was a mistake in your back and forth nonsense with texting and was refunded to you immediately when you sent a valid card over."

It would have been better had they never showed. The installation revealed cracks in the slabs that the fabricator had tried to hide. Obviously, they had used the cracked slabs. Sills were reversed and installed in wrong place, making gaps very obvious. The installers also damaged the edges of the stone during installation. The countertops were never properly secured to the corbels and cabinet tops (gaps/shims exposed). After the installation, it was obvious that the edges and sink cut-outs surfaces were never enhanced or sealed. There was damage to the drywall and to add insult to injury, the installers through scrap pieces in the bushes in front of our house. After I realized the extent of this companies ineptitude, I corrected the installation the best that I could myself. I sealed and enhanced the cut-outs, edges and surfaces. I secured the stone to the countertops, repaired the drywall and cleaned the yard myself. I estimate that the job actually cost about $9,000 which is almost three times the advertised rate. We have still not received our tabletops! Stay away from these folks!
