Office hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM with available voice mail during closed hours. Saturday and Sunday inspections also available by appointment and availability. When purchasing a home, one of the most important steps to educate yourself on the condition of the property is to get a Home Inspection. This happened last March or April when we were closing on our first home. An inspector from this company was hired by my real estate agent. He showed up early and i didn't really notice what he was doing during the inspection. I trusted my real estate agent and assumed he was doing his job right. He kept laying it on thick about my town home being the best place he inspected in years several times. I should have known then he was just trying to close the deal for the real estate agent. He said everything was in the clear. Right after he left, my mother came by and rang the doorbell. It didn't work. We contacted them them. First he claimed he checked it and it was fine. Then I told him it doesn't work and he admitted he forgot to check it. When we found out the doorbell was not connected to any wires and just screwed to the exterior wall. He offered to get us a wireless doorbell, we refused because we wanted to make some the wiring worked since we were buying the house. After that they refuse to honor their guarantee to right their wrong and refused to pay anything to rectify the issue at all. He had us fill out a claim and promptly denied it. He said he didn't want their insurance to go up. THEN DO YOUR JOB RIGHT!!!!!!! When we told the real estate agent, she was upset and stated she was so embarrassed by their lack of professionalism. She paid to have an electrician fix the doorbell which was fine since they seemed to be working with her anyways. Later we also found out one of the windows in the master bedroom had a broken lock, was causing wind blowing noises in the room, and weird smells. We are still trying to figure out what to do there. Also, our garbage disposal broke the day after his "inspection" as all. So I absolutely do not true this company. I tell everyone to avoid them.

Benjamin was great! He was personable, knowledgeable, and professional. I received my report in my email when said I would and it was in depth but easy to read. Their price was the most affordable for me and I'm glad I found them on Angie's list.

Joey Shyken was amazing! He was very professional, thorough, patient and courteous. He explained everything in detail and put us at ease with our decision to purchase while clarifying the areas of the home which may require further service. This guy was here for six hours inspecting this place. His report was so professional and so detailed. I couldn't have asked for a better performance. He was also professional for sure, he was articulate and wanted to make sure I understood what he was explaining to me as he found an issue. I was basically with him for six hours watching as he inspected. His report was mailed just before midnight that night. It was forty something pages. He is definitely an analytic. He is very concerned about being thorough.

They did not do a thorough job compared to other home inspections I have experienced. Many of the things they pointed out, I feel that anyone could recognize. I was expecting them to be able to spot potential issues that the average home owner would not be aware of. He missed several things that we noticed, but we needed a home inspection as part of the process of purchasing a home from an independent home inspector. He also missed that many of the windows were broken- over 20 in the house, the majority were broken. I cannot raise them in the summer. Overall, I feel that the information they gave us were obvious in that anyone could gather this information, but the information they did not give was what was important.

The inspection went well, however, the inspector (Ray Fields) was arrogant and came across as sexist. He only looked and spoke directly to my husband while my female realtor and I followed along. He seemed very aggravated when she or I asked questions, but was joking around and very attentive to my husband. He felt the need to tell us he hates doing "these old houses". It was build in 1940. The inspector did not tag anything inside the home, as is the usual practice. He did tag one thing outside. The report we received was very thorough and the inspector did a great job and had a good eye for detail. He was, however, not very pleasant to work with during this process.

Brent was energetic with a most pleasing personality. He worked non-stop for 4 hours until he shared his findings with me. Then he walked me around the property pointing out areas of concern as well as improvement.

The Inspectors showed up early and were very knowledgeable. They were very receptive and they addressed of my concerns. During the inspection they noticed a couple of code violations and costly repairs. The inspection was well worth it.

The scheduler was polite and responsive and quickly worked with my realtor to schedule a time for the inspection. When I arrived the morning of the inspection, I found our inspector already at work well ahead of the appointment time. He was professionally dressed and politely stopped working to introduce himself to us. He asked if we had any specific areas of concern and then proceeded on the inspection. Multiple times during his inspection, he stopped to show us what he had found. Post inspection, he walked us through numerous photographs and a very detailed account of his findings. When the report arrived via email the next morning, we already knew what it contained. It was highly detailed, well written, and logically organized. I found the report to be adequate and the service to be superior.

This was one of the most comprehensive inspections I have experienced. It resulted in providing me with a picture of the property that is pivotal in determining direction. Mr. Fields was in the home for several hours, was totally focused on the inspection. His professionalism was reassuring. I later received a detailed report of his findings.
I would certainly recommend Mr. Fields and AmeriSpec for anyone needing a home inspection! Proceeding to purchase a property without this type of intervention is not a financially sound decision. It is so worth the investment to know what you are getting into before closing!

We worked directly with Charles on two different house inspections. On the first house inspection, he saved us from a disaster house that would have become a money pit. He was completely unbiased and let us just hear the facts. He had so much patience for our questions as first time homebuyers and explained everything and anything we needed him to. He did such a good job with the first house, we wanted to go with him for our second and final house! He came in pleased to see me and congratulated me for finding a ten times better house. He was professional and friendly. He did an awesome job and I would recommend him to anyone and everyone.

The experience with AmeriSpec was great. The inspector arrived on time and was very pleasant to work with. When he found out that this was our first home purchase, he gave some good tips and advice which we appreciated very much. He also gave us a nice book with information on home maintenance and repairs, etc.

I had used them a number of years earlier and had a good experience. This time was no different. It was a great experience. They were very knowledgeable, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and did good work for a fair price. I would definitely recommend them to others.
