Auto Service
I have used Al for over 20 years. All I can say is he is honest, skilled, dependable and I wish every service person I used was as good as he is.

The address listed in Angie's List for Al's Volvo is his old location on Stepp off of Phillips Highway. He has moved to 2331 Edison Ave close to the Stockton exit off I-10. His phone number is 904-731-4489. Since it is his cell phone, he always answers.
Al is great for servicing an old Volvo. He's been doing this for a long time and knows how to fix stuff that even a regular Volvo dealer can't do. If the new Volvo parts are too expensive, as was the blower motor, he has a lot of junk cars that he can pull parts from. He's done that before with our car, but based on prior experiences, I think his guarantee is better than a new part installed by an authorized dealer.
He may not do this for a new customer, but as a regular customer, occasionally, he hasn't charged us a penny for some small repair that doesn't involve replacing parts and can be done quickly. 2-3 times, I've pulled in with a question about some annoying problem and he's fixed it in a couple of minutes without charging me. If that happens, I'll always give a tip to the mechanic that does it.
If Al ever retires or sells to someone else, I think it might be time to retire our much loved 1998 200,000 mile Volvo wagon.
If you judge a repair shop by it's being a slick operation with a nicely decorated waiting room and handsome customer service staff, you probably want to go to a dealer….but that is going to cost a lot more. If you want an old Volvo fixed and enjoy talking with the owner and the mechanic, Al's Volvo is the place you'll want to go.
