The new capacitor made the AC unit work again, but I was very upset with the lack of professionalism and in particular the $150 charge for a product that's under warranty and a service man who was physically here for less than 20 minutes. I sent an email to the owner, Mr. Cale Howard, and told him how I felt robbed, raped, and similar by first, being told the day before that "Chris" , the service man would call me, which he never did; that I was pretty upset a brand new unit was malfunctioning less than 2 years after being installed; and finally, with the $150 service charge. I sent Mr. Howard an email on 9/2 telling him how upsetting it was to be told by the folks that answer his phone, that the service person would definitely call me and how upsetting it was that the unit stopped working less than two years from installation. Mr. Howard responded to that email saying "The carrier unit is a superior product. The parts will not last forever!!"
When I sent a second email letting him know how upset I was at being charged $150 for the service call, (and that's when I told him I felt robbed, etc.), he wrote a poorly written, and quite unprofessional email response, saying, "As for the price, it costs approximately $65 for my truck to arrive in your driveway. Then, it costs another $35-$50 for my people to process the claim for the part to get my money back, in about 3 months. Meanwhile, i stock my truck with thousands of dollars' worth of parts, in an effort to have the part you need, when you need it. Otherwise, we would have had to leave you without air for another night in order to get the part and return with it. My charge covered my cost, barely, and is very reasonable. The words you used, including smoke, mirrors, greed, raped, robbed and the phrase, taken to the cleaners, was very inappropriate, to say the least. Of course, nothing could be further from the truth. I wish you the bet of luck in finding an air conditioning company to do your work, free."
Sincerely,
Cale Howard,

By the way, when the unit was installed, one of the criteria, was the unit was to be elevated off the ground. I just got a good look at what the installer from Air to Air did in September 2012. He jury rigged an old wooden pallet and that's what he put my AC unit on top of. And guess what, the pallet is beginning to disintegrate so I'm going to have to have this corrected immediately. The air handler in the garage also has multiple problems which my 85 year old father pointed out to me.
This company is a joke! I wouldn't trust them to change a filter for me, let alone believe a word they say about anything. If anyone would like to come look at my unit and the horrible job they did, please feel free to contact me.
