AEI GAS SERVICES

I went with AEI based on reviews here. The crew was very professional and thorough, but I would not use again or recommend. They offered to shorten the gas line from the house (gas grill install), but it doesn't seem any shorter (inch at most) and they had problems replacing it. That caused them to drill several large holes. To be fair, they reported the challenge was on the original installer side. It certainly added to their time. FYI, they charge $50 for every 15 minutes worked over the 1hour covered in the 199 service call.

We hade the installer of our gas fireplace out several times over 3-4 years to fix the problem of our gas fireplace shutting off by itself after approximately 30 minutes. They replaced many parts, etc. but were unable to fix the problem. AEI fixed the problem in 1 visit without replacing any parts. I would highly recommend AEI.

Lewis is a straight shooter and does great work! Would use again including having kitchen range converted from electric to gas.

Provided cost estimate that included all costs - no hidden costs. Scheduled installation of instant gas water heater based on my schedule, not theirs. Arrived on-time and with all necessary tools and equipment to do the work. Installer went over all aspects of the installation and worked with me to ensure best placement of outside gas lines to hide all from view. Removed old water heater and disposed of for me. Commenced work and completed work on schedule. Cleaned up all work areas to include outside work and tested system. Showed me how system worked. I paid nothing before the work started. AEI service representative call me after two days to follow up and make sure everything was working properly and to collect payment for the work. Two days later I received a copy of my receipt for the work along with the manufacturer registration form FILLED OUT along with a COMPLETED rebate form for me to sign and send to my local gas company for what is a substantial rebate.

Aei Gas Services were real good, the were very helpful and explained everything completely and did a good job all the way around. I had requested for a quote from them years ago and this time round their prices were lower than then.

I called to make an appointment to have my fireplace checked and repaired. It wouldn't start. I was told up front that the hourly charge would be $95 plus the cost of the parts. Since I was not very familiar with gas logs, I was a little afraid of the unit. I received a phone call, letting me know that the repairman was on his way. It only took a few minutes for him to discover the problems. He replaced the batteries in the fireplace and on the remote. He cleaned an area that was covered with dust. Best of all, he showed me how to do all of the maintenance from now on. He showed me how to replace the logs correctly. He was very professional. I was very happy with his work and will not hesitate to call AEI Gas again if another problem arises.

He didn't do the electric part but referred me to a good company. He called when he ran late and communicate well about scheduling. They also did a follow up before the appointment was scheduled.

Carter was our primary installer and did a fantastic job for us. He installed the unit way up on the wall saving us space. He rerouted the water lines clearing up a big mess of piping on the wall. We were very impressed with his work and would use this company again.

This company was more thorough on their initial visit and submission of proposal. They were the only one of three contractors that offered alternative placement solutions for the replacement appliance. Installation was well done and the work area left clean and in great condition. Vendor returned promptly the next day to resolve small issue - they handled all rebate paperwork immediately. I highly recommend this company for gas water heater installation!

We bought a new gas dryer and needed to remove the old one and hook up the new one. I thought it would be a really easy process and that I'd be basically kicking myself for having paid someone to do it, but gas scares me. In the end, I was very glad I did. The guy removed the old dryer and kindly brought it to the street. We were worried about whether the new dryer would fit, but the guy worked very hard to get it in place. It took about an hour, and was much more complicated (because of the size) than I'd imagined.
