They did a great job installing the system, and even took care of registering the Trane product warranties on the system components for us, which was a plus.

They were extremely professional. When a problem developed after the maintenance, they did follow-up visits at no charge to resolve.

They are on the more expensive side of services, but I can depend on them. I'm kind of stuck with them because of the warranty. I could get something for thirty nine bucks, bu I am not sure of the services. You try to save thirty bucks here, but loose on the warranty side. Its a ten year warranty. We paid a significant amount of money on the warranty. The warranty depends on you maintaining your services. Which I think is appropriate. You can't blame them if something goes wrong, and you did no maintain your services. The reason is they are more expensive. Apart from that, its how it should be. I have no complaints.

Very well will call if I need other A/C repair.

Abaco arrived at 7:30am sharp, right on the time they said they would be here. They installed two new Trane A/C - Heating units. Everything went as planned by my sales consultant Al Fouz with only one minor glitch which was of no fault of the installers. We had a faulty thermostat from the manufacturer. A replacement thermostat is on its way.

 I was impressed with how the installers did their jobs in a professional manor and took their time to lay out tarps as so not to dirty my carpets. They also cleaned everything up when the job was completed.

I would highly recommend Abaco Air Experts to anyone that is looking for a professional job in installing and maintaining their A/C & heating units.

I called Abaco yesterday morning when I was certain that my heat pump was not working properly; it was icing up and the fan was not working.  I used the Angie's list coupon for a $29 diagnostic call.  I set the service call up for the late afternoon since I was working in St Augustine and it would be hard to get back to Jacksonville for an earlier appointment.  They scheduled their appointments so that they could accommodate my schedule, which was a big help.
The service tech Anthony came out and he was very friendly and knowledgeable and tested a number of items until he confirmed my fan motor had failed.  He thought the repair could cost $700 or more...
I have an 11 year old Goodman machine, and, unfortunately, they did not have the exact fan I needed on the truck or at the shop, and would have to pick it up from the manufacturer the following day when they opened.  
After a call to his shop he was told the replacement would be $549 including labor, so I was happy that it was less than he originally thought.  I set up the appointment for the next morning... they could have done 8, but I set it up for 9am.
The next morning the tech arrived bright and on time, after I received that he was stuck in traffic, and quickly installed the new fan and confirmed my heat pump was working.  He then checked the pressures in my system to confirm my freon levels were good.
He asked about my interest in replacing the machine before fixing it and helped me weigh the pros and cons so that I could make an educated decision to repair the machine. 
The service was excellent.  A+.
The main office was in constant phone communication with me and the service tech was as well, and it was all professional and courteous.  I would call them again.
I thought the Angie's list diagnostic price $89 - $60 coupon) was great; I really appreciate that coupon deal, because I didn't know how expensive the repair on my older heat pump would be, before the tech arrived, and it made the repair cost easier to swallow after the diagnosis.  
I did not rate the $549 fan replacement price because the charges aren't broken down:
 I can't see the travel time charge (to my house the second day, and travel to and from the parts place to pick up the fan).  
Also, parts and labor are not broken down.
The labor time to replace the fan was very fast since the diagnosis had already been done the day before; I would guess the labor would bear a minimum service call charge.
I can't be sure of the part markup; these fans range from $149-$349 online, and I can't find my exact part #.  Different part #s in the same series cost different amounts, so I honestly can't evaluate whether the price was fair for fan, because they could have paid more than the online prices locally, and I don't know what common markups are.
In all, I am very pleased with the service provided, and the price to repair my heat pump was affordable.  Companies need to make money on parts as well as labor in order to cover their overhead and make a profit.
I just can't rate the price without any basis for comparison.
Still, I would highly recommend this company, and apparently my neighbors are pleased as well, as I learned that this company services a number of houses on my street.
 

The repair went outstanding and was back up and running in no time at all. The technician was great, will continue to always do my business with Abaco. I have had to deal with 3 different companies and they are by far the most professional and knowledgable staff i have worked with.

Our central air stopped working on the hottest day so far this year. I called Abaco, and the owner, Al, was very nice and extremely professional. He said he'd send someone right out, and 41 minutes later, Anthony showed up. (Everyone else I called couldn't make it until at least the next day.) Based on the symptoms I described, Anthony correctly guessed that a capacitor in the compressor control circuit may have burnt out. He confirmed that and fixed it in less than 30 minutes. A little research suggests that the price of $199 for the capacitor was a little steep, but considering that he gave the system a good check as well, and that I am now sitting in a cool 77? house instead of spending the night in a 90? sauna, I'm not too upset about it. They did honor the $60 Angie's List coupon without any hassle, so that also took some of the bite out of it. I'd highly recommend Abaco Air Experts and will definitely call them the next time I need heat or A/C service.

The inside unit and outside unit were checked out. The technician checked the electric heat, the supply blower and filters. checked all the voltages and amps. He said the system was clean, so he didn't do any cleaning.

After they inspected my 11 year old HVAC system which has been nickle-and-diming me for several years, I concluded it made sense to get a new system, (heat pump and air handler).  ABACO's tech went over the options with me, explained everything fully and helped me choose the most sensible package.  I did not shop around as I have confidence in their products (Trane) and trust them to do good work and stand behind it.  I suspect their price was pretty competitive.  I gave it an "A" because I am always happy to pay for service that I have full confidence in.
As with their prior service calls, they were very punctual, polite, friendly and professional.  Really good about keeping the house and floors clean.  They were in by 7:15 am and done before noon.  The new system was drawing only 7 amps as compared to the 13 amps my old one was using, so the savings in energy and JEA bills should be immediate and significant.

Today Abaco came back to my house for my fall heat pump tune-up.  I prepaid for this back in summer when they came
to tune up my A/C. They inspected my heat pump and my compressor.  They are very thorough and explain everything
they do.  They are more than happy to
answer any questions I have.  They found
my compressor outside was a little low on Freon.  So they hooked me up and got my A/C/Heat pump
working like a finely tuned machine. I recommend them to anyone that wants
great service, and professional service technicians.

Al was very friendly. I worked with him over the phone because I am out of state and I am fixing the unit for my new tenant. There were a few surprises along the way which increased the bill, due to our neglect of the unit for approx 1 year (plant growth into unit etc), but overall I was happy with the service.

This was an emergency since the old unit died. After calling Abaco Air Experts and spoke to Al, he scheduled the appointment for the same day and showed up right on time. The whole installation went great and the unit started working immediately.
After the job was completed, they left the site completely clean.

Repair went fine and was done within a reasonable time frame.    The actual costs on the parts seemed kind of high compared to purchasing them from a part store, but most certainly the costs are in line with any other repair company that comes to your house. Overall service was great and I will use them again, definitely look them up when I have to replace the units. 

He was very thorough and very friendly.  He explained everything to me so I understood what he was doing and what to expect from my system.  I had some uncertainties about the wiring after someone else had installed a new blower motor and Steve put me on the phone with his boss who determined that all was well, also explaining it so I fully understood. 
I now know a lot more about my AC and will definitely call on Abaco for my next inspection and any needed service. They also can make custom air filters if you have an odd sized air handler like mine.  I'm very pleased to have found this company.

We needed a totally new A/C, and heating system and were interested in TRANE as it was recommended by our friends and family. We obtained 4 estimates. Chase ( Charles)  and Donovan's ( Aaron)  were very couteous, professinal and friendly and we liked them a lot too. We would recommend them any time to any one who is interested in a Bryant or Carrier system. Since we wanted a Trane system installed, we contacted ABACO AIR EXPERTS in Jacksonville, Florida.
Al, the owner, gave us an estimate. He and Steve along with another helper installed the system. They were on time, extremely friendly and courteous, respectful of our need for removing their shoes when entering our home. Their helper kneed a CPVC pipe in the attic resulting in serious water leak and water gushing over our kitchen area ceiling. They were very apologetic and fixed the popcorn ceiling. Our Thermostat stopped the day after they installed the unit. They properly diagnosed that it was due to a blocked water drain in our A/C system.They rectified it as well.
Al and Steve and the previous owner, Richard are men of their words with a very  high degree of integrity. They delivered what they proposed and without any fuss. We really appreciated that.
My wife and I are extremely pleased with thier punctuality, proficiency and efficiency. Thay are not the cheapest, perhaps, but they are worth every penny that we spent in our opinion.
We recommend them whole heartedly and WITHOUT any reservation. Time will tell if they contunue to be so efficient, but we feel that we have made the right decision for us. Finally, we have paid for a 10 year parts/Labor contract with Trane through Abaco/ Air Experts. Our total expenses include the 15.5 Seer system , including the outside condenser and airhandler in the attic, plus the 10 year warranty for parts and Labor.

He was on time and professional. He checked the system, found a few problems, but was very clear on my options. I could either repair them now, or wait until my very old system broke, then replace that. I appreciated his honesty. He could have pressured me to pay for the minor repairs now, even though my unit is on its last leg. I'll definitely be calling him to replace my 20 year old AC when the time comes. Great job!

I called 3 companies to get quotes. The first two companies were highly recommended by Angie's List, where I found Air Experts through the Better Business Bureau. One of the two companies were difficult to schedule so I skipped using them. The other of the two companies came and provided a vague, verbal quote (nothing written); whereas Air Experts was by far the most professional and knowledgeable. They provided a computerized demo showing exactly what the system would provide and how it would operate. Furthermore, Air Experts printed his quote with optional pricing in case I wanted to subtract or add features. The pricing on the other two companies were roughly comparable so I chose Air Experts. I checked two of his references, and they all endorsed Air Experts enthusiastically.As mentioned above, Al found that my electricity was only 100 amp, and needed to be on 200 amp for the new unit. He personally sourced and supervised a licensed electrician to upgrade the home to ensure it was done correctly, and helped me finance this work as well as the installation of the HVAC. He then came on a Saturday to install the unit (which is a big deal because most other service companies won't come on the weekend). Everything was done in one day, but he came back 3 times afterwards to perform checks to ensure that the new unit was functioning as intended. Finally, Air Experts stands by their original quote and does not try to jack up the price later. Despite all the extra time Al spent on supervising my electrical upgrade, he did not try to raise the price. I would definitely highly recommend Al at Air Experts for any new HVAC installation to Angie's List Members. A+++++++++++++++!!!!

Abaco AC & Heating was excellent. The technician came in and did the job that he was hired to do. He, and the crew he had working with him, were courteous, responsible, and trustworthy. They were neat, and kept the area looking nice while completing the job.
