THANK HEAVENS FOR THIS COMPANY! This was the renovation from h3ll. This was supposed to be a 2 week, 2 bathroom renovation. It's been nearly 3 months and it still is not finished. The tile was pulled on my floors twice and on my shower 2 or 3 times because of incompetent workers. FINALLY my contractor subbed the job to All About Floors after 6 weeks of utter disaster, and they did everything right. And I'm so thankful. They spent the first half hour they were there cleaning up the mess left by the previous workers. They swept, vacuumed, and took trash to their trucks before they even assessed my bathrooms. Charles and his crew insisted on ripping out the entire shower AND durock even though the contractor didn't want them to, because it wasn't waterproofed!! Charles told my contractor that either they redo the durock, or All About Floors wouldn't warranty the work. I am so glad to know he was willing to do the right thing, and not buckle under pressure from the person writing the check. He then redesigned the way the tile was going to be placed around my shower and tub because my contractor's original design was not aesthetically pleasing. He showed me both, and I agreed. All these "little things" make a huge difference once you see them on something other than a drawing! Then he looked at the second bathroom's floor... Even though that floor passed inspection by my contractor, Charles pointed out how the tiles were unevenly spaced, and when you walked on in barefoot, many tiles were lopsided. He made a case to the contractor to pull that floor up and have it redone as well. And I was glad he showed these things to me. After they finished their work, weeks went by and my electrician discovered he was unable to install the light in the shower. Instead of calling my contractor, I called Charles. He came out at the end of his workday and was horrified to see the finish work done by the contractor's inside trim person. Charles spent nearly 2 hours of his personal time fixing the issue with the shower light area, then caulking around the baseboards of both bathrooms, which was NOT part of the work they were hired to do at all. He was just doing this out of the goodness of his heart, and because he hated seeing that my bathrooms remained unfinished after all this time. Needless to say, All About Floors knows exactly how to come in and fix disasters. I am happy to recommend them as excellent and highly ethical, perfectionistic, and very tidy workers. They even remembered to call to advise when they ran late one morning getting supplies so I wouldn't think they were just not showing up. They were respectful of my home, my family, my time, and my neighborhood. And they worked very quickly, but their work is flawless. If only I found them to do this job in the first place... I know they will be worth whatever they charge. Their customer service and attention to detail is ridiculous. Everybody should run their shop this way. These guys know how to do it right.
