"Thank you Miss [Member Name Removed] you folks were a pleasure to work for and with."
"Customer is completely correct, job took longer than was expected. I explained to her that moisture and temperature are important for dry/cure times, I am very careful to ensure full dry before painting. She forgot to mention the rain (2 days) and then it got cold (1 day delay). I had the flu at the time and was working 12 hour days. But still managed to show up at her house every day to check on the work. I fixed approx. $600 in re-taping issues without even a mention of a change order or any extra monies needed. My drywall guy broke her bottom shade on her plantation shutters, so I paid a shutter repair pro ($280) to get it beautiful (not $125 from other guys quote). She also failed to mention I touched up her living room, foyer, den, kitchen, halls and breakfast nook after the tape to protect walls pulled down their paint, again no charge. Then she asked me about cash deal then holds it against me? Her ceilings came out really nice and her home was almost dust free. Am I perfect, no. I try but I make mistakes also. I have OCD and I'm into the details. If you look at my rating I think that shows overall. she was so nice her and her husband and then to leave this review was a real slap in the face. especially after I did all the extra stuff for free and actually cleaning and went above and beyond to try to help her out from the delay. And when I told her about the shutter guy she was really happy she was so nice. I thought we had repaired the situation and I thought my extra work had covered her issues but apparently she had some underlying resentments and held them for 3 months until now. I tried to call her and set up a meeting with her and her husband and she hung up on me rudely. I texted her and asked her was there any way we can meet so we can resolve this she will not even answer my texts. I do over 500 projects a year and usually only have one or possibly two customers, per year, that don't love me. She is one of them. if she would only call me we could work out these differences and move forward but instead she's upset which I get. hopefully after another three or four months she can cool off and we can come to an agreement and I can fix whatever she doesn't like. I don't like it when people don't like my work I know I'm not supposed to take it personal but I think I do. I guess that makes me a Craftsman. I'm sorry Miss customer. Let me know how I can fix this. Take care."
"Thank you for the awesome comment, we always enjoy our small-project, drywall customers, and try to keep them happy!! You folks are the backbone of our business!!"
"We definitely looked at this project, but the customer told us they had "found someone to do the project" when we called back to check on the work. Customer must have given us a review from "whomever they picked". Tried to call the customer back to let them know about the mistake but they haven't returned our call."
"thanks again for the work necessary we really enjoyed working for the Jewish synagogue and look forward to our next project there."
"Wow thank you Miss [Member Name Removed]! One of the best painter ever? That's awesome thank you very much and thanks for noticing all the small stuff we do that most people don't even take a second to notice. And thank you for noticing that we like stuff to be dry and ready to paint. Thank you for not getting upset that we weren't there the next day that there had to be a dry day after the rain thank you for understanding that. We are appreciative that you had enough time to let us caress your project to make sure we can dial it in and make it perfect. Thank you for that added time to make sure that everything is done the way we like it to be."
"Thank you Miss [Member Name Removed] for the awesome comment. You are an ideal customer yourself to work with, you always have your colors picked out and ready and you already know what areas you want to paint in which phases. And you know the importance of good material , and always like to use the better products . It's always easier working for someone that knows what they want and has a vision to see what they need in the future. You are one of the sweetest and nicest folks, that we have ever had the pleasure to work with. Thanks again for your kind words"
"About once a year we get a complete set of nuts, then this would be them. During the estimate the couple were so nice and accommodating. On the first day the wife lost her marbles that we would using a half of one bay on a 5 car garage that the couple weren't even using at the time. Our agreement was for customers to purchase their own materials, at our cost, well when the materials went over my estimated amount they just shut down. I ended up paying for $800 of their products that we put on their house. Just because i was tired of arguing about it, even though they agreed to provide. They complained daily about us being there, and were completely miserable. We have never really met people like this and was unsure on how to act around them. I ended up renting a portable toilet because they were upset that we were using their laundry bathroom. We were glad to get them wrapped up and get out of there. They were more "bothered" by us than anything else."
"I should have stuck to my guns. I tried to explain to the customer that staining cabinets a lighter color, other than the original finish is very difficult or even staining in the same similar pallette is difficult. I suggested either staining darker or painting the cabinets for the most optimal finish. But she insisted on a medium oak so we sanded and wood conditioned and did everything we could to get them to look good. They took close to three and a half weeks and still didn't come out perfect. I tried to talk the customer, then, into painting them instead of staining them but she insisted and they came out nice but not perfect. They had years of cooking grease, wear and tear and water damage in several different areas but we applied several coats until we got it to look very nice. They were not perfect but whenever the finish is worn off and the homeowner had not maintained the finish it can cause problems for the next guy trying to work on them. This was more like a cabinet restoration job and less like a cabinet refinishing job. I hope the homeowner sees the importance now of maintaining the finish on the wood."
