Gerald came in and oiled the movement, making sure that the drive and chime movements were moving freely. He worked quickly and was courteous, and charged a very reasonable price. Would definitely call again.

Mr. Lindell had to replace the movement on my Grandfather clock. Once the movement was received he replaced it in home and my clock works perfectly. He’s extremely knowledgeable and definitely knows the ins and outs concerning clocks, answering all your questions and explains everything in detail that is understandable. Will definitely use him again if the need a raises.

It was a little difficult to nail down an appointment time with the office staff however Mr Lindell was able to come to my house within 2 weeks of my initial inquiry. He was efficient, knowledgeable and determined to complete the job even though it was nearly 11pm when he finally was satisfied that the clock worked properly!

My Grandmother clock had stopped working. Mr. Lindell cleaned and oiled all of the parts and my clock is once again ticking to perfection. Definitely glad that I found someone so knowledgeable and competent to work on my SLIGH Grandmother clock. Now that I've found someone so knowledgeable, I will definitely have this service on an annual basis.

Emailed 4 pictures of my clock and some damage that happened during a recent move. Responded with a phone call after a couple of days and told me that they would make a house call and clean and lubricate the clock for $250, then take the pendulum that needed repair back to the shop. As soon as he got here he announced that the price to clean the clock was $499 because of the type of clock. I explained I sent pictures before I received the clock. He didn't care, "he's the boss, he can do anything he wants!" Was so rude, arrogant and condescending that I ended up kicking him out of my house!

No service was completed because they never called to advise of availability, or to get details about the clock.

One of the weights fell off my 27 year grandfather clock, we were unable to put it back on and it also knocked out of place the button of the clock.  The gentleman that came out was very knowledgeable, willing to share his knowledge and did an outstanding job repairing the clock and educating us on how to care for it.

Our initial set up appointment with Lindell's Grandfather Clock Repair was for a time frame from 6pm to 8pm. They showed up at 8pm which was too late and too dark for this activity. Some assembly pieces were misplaced due the darkness. In the process of gluing numbers back to the face of the clock the repairman removed some of the finish on the clock face by using acetone to remove some old glue. An experienced clock repair person would know that acetone takes the lacquer finish off of the face of a Grandfather clock. We sure don't know that, which is why we hired someone to assemble the clock for us. We were depending on Lindell's expertise to ensure that things were done properly and if they couldn't do something, they should have told us to find someone else to do the work. I would expect a legitimate company to have the clock face repaired at no cost to us; however, all Mr. Lindell did was to say he was sorry. I now own a $10,000 antique grandfather clock that I can hardly look at because it I'm so upset . The set up service was completed close to 11pm that night at a cost of $395.00.
In addition, the clock stopped chiming the day after it was assembled and we've been trying for the past month to get Lindell's Grandfather Clock Repair to return to fix the problem. It is my opinion that Lindell's Grandfather Clock Repair is not a local Jacksonville Company as advertised. If they are local to Jacksonville, then their territory is too large for them to handle their scheduled clock repairs at reasonable times of day and perform return maintenance within a reasonable period of time.
I sincerely regret having to say that I cannot recommend them.

Jerry Lindell arrived in the committed time frame. He was extremely knowledgeable and very professional. In addition to getting the clock working, he instructed me in the use of the and quot;moonand quot; clock which I thought was just a decoration; told me how to adjust the pendulum if the clock is too fast or too slow, told me that I can move the hands forward or backward without damage, that the clock self-adjusts the chimes within a couple of hours if they're moved out of synch, that I should have it oiled annually, and gave me a lifetime warranty if I have preventive maintenance performed annually. Who knew! I'm extremely happy and I'm a very, very difficult person to please! I would highly recommend Mr. Lindell to service your grandfather/mother clocks.
