We hired Mitch McCue to redo our kitchen. It was a disaster from the beginning: causing a flood in our home, taking much longer than promised/never finished, ruining our original hardwood floors, incorrectly installing countertops, breaking our stove, billing us for work they never performed, and then sending harassing and threatening messages demanding money when we were still waiting for them to complete the project. It was so bad we had to contact the police. They then put a lien on our house and we have been in this legal battle for 2 years. When we then looked into reviews we found we weren't alone: - “This business over-promises and under-delivers.” - “charge you for jobs that they do not complete” - “Mitchell McCue believes he is accountable to no one” - “Deposited a large amount of my money in his account and then did not honor the deal nor did he pay back the amount he said he would” - “Worst experience…Mitch talks a great game. Can’t rely on his word or performance” - “Highly disappointed…DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY” - “good luck getting the job done on time or getting any kind of cooperation whatsoever from him” - “quality of work was VERY poor…very poorly run” - “Again I do not trust Mitch McCue and would never use his company again” - “Dealing with them was a constant nightmare” McCue is no stranger to the court system. This is what public record shows: - American experess currently (2023) pursuing McCue for $50,000 in relation to an unpaid >$100,000 credit card bill - McCue being sued (2023) by Ocean 14 Association Inc for >$40,000 for failure to provide agreed and paid-for work for the association - McCue was foreclosed on in 2013 - McCue was sued in 2008 for failing to split the proceeds from a joint venture If anyone else has had these kinds of experiences, I would be interested in helping you get your money back.

Worst experience in having work performed. Never finished painting exterior as the owner said he can’t find competent people . Before hiring, I was to,d he had 3top painters. He had to hire a painting company to do the work who told me this was the 3rd paint job they had to be brought in to complete. Sealed the driveway only the sealing is a mess . Broke a motion light detector and was promised to replace it. Didn’t happen. Mitch talks a great game. Can’t rely on his word or performance.

This business over-promises and under-delivers. I entered a contract with them to repair damages by a former tenant. Their estimated time line for completion was 3 weeks after permitting, but after 3 months of delays and excuses I was advised by a construction lawyer to fire him by all communication methods available to me. This business did not meet industry standards for the interior paint job, tile work, or construction site protection and cleanliness. They stopped work after discovering mold, and refused to return my calls after I had the mold remediated. They collected over $12,000 and did not complete $12,000 worth of work. They caused additional damages to my home which will have to be repaired by another vendor. I demanded my money back, and they have made no attempts to communicate or resolve the issues. I have filed a complaint with Florida's Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) in the hopes that their license will be revoked and they are unable to prey on others as they have on me. Update to original post: Shortly after posting my negative reviews, my realtor offered to try reaching out to McCue's to see if they would be willing to finish and job and fix their mistakes. I did not think he would agree to this but gave her my blessing to try. My realtor relayed back to me that Mitchell McCue had indeed agreed, if in exchange I would remove my negative reviews from social media and retract my complaint from the DBPR. I sent him a letter telling him I'd do this if he would agree, in writing, to provide start and estimated completion dates; to fix all their mistakes (poor paint job, uneven tile work, etc); and that all subsequent work would be completed in a workmanlike fashion so that I could finally market my house. McCue's took several days to respond, and when asked again if willing to move forward, gloated to my realtor that I'd be unable to hold him accountable and invited me to try. Not only did he mislead and waste time again, but Mitchell McCue believes he is accountable to no one - not his customers, clients, community, nor regulatory bodies. Do not trust this despicable business man.

They were terrible. They were very nice but it was awful. They had to come back 3 times. They originally gave me my quote on May 23rd, 2016. I spent about $1300-$1400. They had a couple of different teams and what happened was when they got bigger jobs I got less experienced people. The work I was not happy with was when I had my windows framed out. They did all of that and it was bad and I told them I want my money back. I paid for other services that they didn't even do. I cut my losses and paid them up front. The only thing that I am happy with is my ceiling in my dining room. But never again. They were cheap so you get what you pay for.

I would give them an A+ if I could.  Was delighted with the service this company provided.  I had searched and searched to find someone who would repair the screens in the soffit vents and the gutter on the second story of of my house.   Painters last spring had painted all the screens closed so air could not flow into the attic space.  The painters had also stepped on the gutters knocking them out of whack.  I had called a number of contractors and handyman services in the past year in order to get the screens and gutters fixed before the heat and rain of the summer sets in.  Most businesses I called did not call back,  those who did call weren't interested in the job or just never showed up.  All the estimates, except Mccue's, were extremely high.  Last spring  I actually had one local contractor  give me an estimate of $3000!  He said it would take a while for his crew to set up the scaffolding/etc.  Finally found a link to Mitch Mccue's site a week ago.  Mitch was willing to take on the job at a very very reasonable price. He did the work  himself with  the help of an able assistant and an extension ladder. They finished the whole job in around an hour and a half.  I am so delighted.  Excellent fast work by people who behave and work like professionals.  I recommend them highly.  I will definitely be calling  Mitch again and again.
