I built a house in 2013 and used Robert Barnes construction. The house came with a one year warranty (as most do for new construction). However, Mr. Barnes told me he honors his work and had been known to extend that warranty. I had a number of things go wrong that first year, including a faulty AC which leaked from the attic into my sons room and an entire wall needed to be replaced. The AC has never worked correctly and still doesn't. Shortly after the one year warranty phase, my "Moen" kitchen faucet started leaking at the handle. I didn't ask him to replace it (mostly because I knew he wouldn't) but I did ask that he provide me with the model number so I could replace it myself. I never received that information from him and after doing my own research, I finally determined what model it was. It was actually an "American Standard" faucet. When I told him about this, he said "well, I paid for a Moen". (Actually, I paid for a Moen). He didn't offer to have a new one installed or to replace the cost of this one. The electric in the house has never worked correctly. I have lightbulbs blow out constantly and have even had them blow out of the socket and onto the floor. I mentioned this during the first year and he sent out the original electrician who said "you know these builders, they pay the least amount to get the cheapest work". It never got fixed and I hired my own electrician who discovered that some of the fans (that I paid extra for) had been installed incorrectly, most likely causing the "shorts" in the house.
