 + -1 moreThe person they sent out is not a computer technician. He may know how to repair televisions, but my situation is my computer. He did not know how to check the hard drive for issues. When he returned with an optical drive which was incorrect for my All in One Desktop, he removed the entire back as well as the silver inner shell of this computer just to attempt to replace this drive. This was not necessary, but he did not know this. Have not heard from the company about getting the correct drive. They did send a message for me however to get in touch with Angie's list. I have gotten in touch with Sony informing them of this situation. I was told that I must stay with this company because they received the order. I will not have them back out to my computer, is to expensive for someone that doesn't have the training. Haven't heard from the company to inform them of my decison. No thanks

 + -1 moreHe wound up taking the tv to his premises, did several tests and determined it would not be worth fixing. He kept the tv for parts and called it a deal. He was very thorough explaining everything he had found. Very professional.
Description of Work: He came to the house to try to identify the problem.

 + -1 moreMichael, the A-Home service technician arrived and immediately diagnosed the problem and had everything working in 10 minutes. He only charged me for he basic service charge. I found him very professional and expert about television and entertainment systems. I would recommend A-home for any problems with TV sets or entertainment equipment.
Description of Work: I had a problem with a home entertainment center that came with my new house. I could not make the DVD player work.

 + -1 moreOutstanding service, both in the shop and at the house. Highly recommend this electronics shop.
Description of Work: Our New Balance elliptical, which we bought used over 5 years ago, was damaged when the transformer cord got caught behind the slide mechanism. New Balance doesn't make ellipticals anymore and the company noted for service on the unit does not respond to calls or e-mail inquireies. The elliptical is well beyond warranty, but we don't want to buy a new one. So I brought the transformer and non-standard jack to A-home Electronics and they rewired the transformer. When that still didn't fire-up the elliptical I paid to have their technician come out and look at the unit. He tested all connections and found several issues within the control panel. He took the control panel back to the shop and for about $250 he replaced several components and came back to the house to install the unit and make sure the elliptical worked. Having a working elliptical for about $300 is much better than purchasing a new one for over $1000. While they hadn't worked on fitness equipment before, the technician was willing and able to fix this control panel.
