Wyse Choice AC and Heating

I have to say I rarely write reviews, but this company is a scam. Our pool heater was not functioning properly, they were recommended by the company that installed the heater for service. They had to replace the board which they did; charged $800 with no breakdown (should have known then). Also needed to order a fan motor and fan and would be back. Was advised by the service tech that would likely be around $600 which seemed reasonable for parts and labor. Four (4) weeks later, they called and came to install the fan. When finished, they told my husband $1200!! Needless to say, we were shocked. When we attempted to get a detailed breakdown, we were told that it was a flat fee, but was not told what the flat fee is? In my vast homeowning experience, it is usually parts and hourly labor. They advised that this flat fee included their office time to order the part, etc. Who does that? We will never recommend nor use them again. We tried to call and resolve this prior to writing a review. We were told that they could come and take everything out and we would get our money back. Not a great way to do business. We were simply trying to understand the breakdown of what we were being charged for - shame on you Wyse. Saying that you will come out, remove everything and give our money back does not solve the problem, nor answer or questions in any way. We still do not have a clear understanding nor breakdown of what we paid for.

Wyse Choice AC installed a Daikin system in my home 9/21. It did not adequately remove moisture we developed mildew. Ron Wyse kept making suggestions, parts were coming, on back order never came. Appointments were made and frequently did not show up. Feb ‘23 Wyse cut holes in ceilings and switched from remotes to hardwired thermostats. “Temporarily” ran wires on outside of wall. December 21st was last appt Wyse didn’t show up for there has been no response then. Spoke with Daikin- parts only support. Don’t recommend

Great! All service was performed over a few hours, including sealing ductwork. Price was a lot less expensive than that proposed by some competitors; they did not propose unnecessary work that would not result in any real savings. The general information posted is not correct. They are licensed and they do give free estimates, and will perform emergency work. I don't know about the other items.

It went great. Mr. Wyse arrived on schedule and was honest and professional. Mr. Wyse informed my that my thermostat was under warranty and there was a $0 charge for the replacement of a new thermostat. It doesn't get much better than that. The people who worked in the office were great too.

I opted for a larger output unit than I had since I wanted to heat my pool faster. I had priced units in this capacity in the $4000-$5000 range. Wyse Choice charged me $4480 for the heat pump and installation, which also included needed circuit breaker and electrical cable upgrades. Once I called they came out and gave me an estimate that day, delivered the unit two days later, and installed it the following day. The old unit was hauled away by the end of that same day. They were punctual and professional. I highly recommend them.

They showed up early, which is highly unusual in this area, so I was a bit surprised, but appreciative.  They diagnosed what the problem was, offered a quote and lead time on the part.  They explained why that particular part was most likely the culprit.  I realized that I could have that part locally fabricated in a day or two versus the 2 weeks that they quoted.  They said that was not a bad idea, to let them know which way I want to proceed, and regardless of who supplies the part, they will come back out at no charge just to make sure it all is working properly.    I installed the locally fabricated part and it worked fine.

Went very well. This is an old heat pump and control parts like the originals are not available.
The service guy retrofitted new controls. It was difficult but he stayed with it and got everything working well.

Fast, efficient, good work. Another company told me I would need to replace my pool heater because it was so old, to the tune of $4000. Wyse Choice has made 2 repairs in the last year and a half. The first cost $84 and the second $140. Couldn't be happier!
