Kurt Schulz did great work, installed everything , made sure of it all before leaving, left absolutely no mess and explained all warranties. He was very efficient, courteous. Would absolutely call him again . Note: he was the third plumber that was here, other two were very poor. One never get back to us after saying they would give us an estimate.

Showed up on time and the work was completed quickly and professionally.

He arrived on time and did an excellent job. The toilet also needed a few other parts and had to be leveled.

Kurt with J. Schulz arrived within the time slot (two hour window) on the day he said he would be here.  He asked what the problem was and where to go, then he went right to work.  He replaced the shutoff valves and even adjusted the flushing mechanism in one of the toilets to save water.  He was done within one hour and asked if there was anything else.  I asked him what it would cost to replace my electric hot water heater.  He checked it out and advised me that it probably didn't need to be replaced yet (it is 10 years old).  Advised me to wait until it started to leak (no harm, since it is the garage), or to wait until it is 15 years old before I need to think about replacing it.

Schultz showed up right on time. I even got a "heads up" phone call from Kurt, alerting me that he was on his way and would arrive in about a half hour. Sure enough, he was right on time. 

He was polite and courteous. Removed the old obsolete garden hose style shut off valves, and replaced them with the better more modern shut off valves. The new shut off valves require only an effortless and simple quarter turn in either direction to turn the water on or off. This is a great feature. Unlike the old fashioned garden hose style valves which require several turns of the handle in either direction to turn the water on or off. 

This was not an easy job, as the water pipes are in the wall. A hole has to be cut into the wall in order to get to the soldered pipe joints. Then, inside the wall, a torch (fire hazard) is used carefully to remove the soldered copper joints and solder in the new pipe and new shut off valves. What about the hole in the wall? Plumbers are not carpenters or dry wall mechanics. Shultz can put you in touch with a dry wall repair professional. Or, you can find one on your own. Fortunately for me, I'm handy enough to repair the wall.  

For a reasonable and fair cost I got a job well done, and done on time. Schultz left my home as clean and orderly as it was when he arrived.

Everything went great. Curt the plumber was spot on time as he promised. He did an excellent and CLEAN job. The price was fair and reasonable. Now I have peace of mind with a new hot water heater. The old one was beginning to leak. I purchased the new one and had it in my garage ready to be installed by Curt (Schultz). Although, I do believe Curt would have picked up the new water heater at Lowes and brought it with him, if I requested.



Also, Schultz is a one man show, owner/operator. No employees no sub contractors. Just Curt, the owner.........Tank you Curt.

J Schulz did an excellent job.  He was prompt, gave us options on costs and products and finished on time.  Would recommend this company.

Mr. Schulz returned my call the same day and scheduled an appointment within the week. (he offered to come the next day, but I was too busy) He arrived on time, calling first. (I have 4 very large dogs which did not seem to bother him at all, but I crate one of them who gets too rambunctious because of her young age and have them all contained before people they don't know arrive) He was very kind to my 14 yr old female collie mix who snuck out trying to get some love and continually watched him for a chance to get a pet, which he did frequently. He was friendly, professional and efficient. He cleaned up after himself so that you could not tell anyone had been there. He advised me about the disposal and told me things I did not know about it since I have not had a new one for some years. He told me I had made a wise purchase and gotten an extremely good price for it. He made sure I knew how to operate and maintain it before he left. It took him a very short time to do the work even though he had to go out for some parts he needed to install it in my old house. His price was amazing considering the prices I had seen in reviews of all the other plumbers on Angie's List. But I have been using his services for around 20 years, so I already expected that. His service has always been beyond fantastic and reasonable.

I cannot say enough about what a superior job they do. They are always professional. Their prices are the most reasonable I have found in the area and the work is excellent. They are courteous and friendly as well as efficient and always on time. They complete the work in a timely manner and when it's done, you don't have to call them back to have it redone. Their work lasts for years.

They do excellent work. I had multiple estimates and he offered the best deal. The job he did is excellent.

It is an independent company. They are always on time, reasonable, honest and went above expectations at high standards. We have used them for probably 15 years now and I am happy with the services. If they cannot handle a job, they will refer out within a reliable network.

They were honest and they told me exactly what they were going to do. They didn't try to talk me into anything else and I thought they were very good!

This company is busy. I had to wait for an appointment, but I did not have an emergency so that was ok. When they were delayed, I was called so that I would know what to expect. I don't know what the policy would be if you had an emergency, but I would say that Mr. Schulz truly cares about doing a professional job and would be there if you did have an emergency.

Schulz Plumbing had done some work for us in 2002, installed kitchen sink, disposal and other plumbing tasks.They were excellent then, and although we have not required any plumbing since then, they were still in our phone log, and the only plumber considered this year. We highly recommend Schulz. They are professional, prompt, efficient, tidy and honest. We also apppreciate the fact they are a local family business and, we believe, a credit to their industry.

I called him to fix a leak I was having in my house. he fixed that leak. I had a second leak from a previous contractor and he came out and fixed that leak free of charge. That was very impressive.

He was a life saver. My house was flooding due to a broken water pipe, and he came to shut off the water and repair the pipe. He, then, referred to a water damage specialist to clean up the resulting mess.

I have had him for years. They do really great work.
