Put 500$ of Freon in and it went to atmosphere instead of staying in system to keep house cool. They should have leak tested or pumped inert gas to see if it would hold pressure

Brown's came out the next day from my call. We live in Florida and the temperature was in the 90s. They had put in this unit a year and 3 months ago. The guy came out and fix some ductwork and said that it was fixed. Before he left I told him that are was still not kicking out cool air. He told me to wait an hour. I called an hour later and told them that it was now 82 in the house. I was put off by the receptionist that they would get back with me I called every hour for the next 4 hours as my temperature in the house Rose. At one point the receptionist told me that John said there was nothing left that they could do to fix my air conditioning. I have 10 year warranty on my parts and they could not fix it. This is supposed to be a company that can fix air conditioning and they were going to leave me and my mother that is 85 years old in the heat. The worst thing is that they didn't return my call and every time I called them to ask when they would come out I was treated like I was a burden. When I finally blew up and yelled I was made to sound like I was the crazy one. At this point it's 92 degrees outside and 83 degrees in my home. I called another air conditioning company to come out the minute the guy walked up he could tell that the compressor on my unit was not working it was a little dual compressor that took him five minutes to change out. Brown should be ashamed that they could not tell that this part was not working before they left me with no air all day. They should be ashamed of themselves and they should not be cashing my check for $85 service charge for the day. We are on a fixed income and $85 is a lot of money. I have found that from the very beginning of working with this company I have not been treated well by them. I would think twice before hiring them there are very many more reputable companies out there. I called them back and told them what had found out and how fast it was fixed and also that they should be a shame of themselves and I was hung up on. When I told them that they really do not care about their customers like they claim and I don't understand how they got their ratings.

It took about 2 hours, and there was 1 worker. He was courteous and professional.

I've used them for the last 4 or 5 years to check my air conditioning systems. They come out every 6 months and charge me 60 to check 2 air conditioning units and air handlers. They may have installed a couple parts but no systems.

They're pretty good and they're pretty prompt they're probably A.

My only complaint with them is they always try to find something that they want to add on you know.

Great ! They showed up as scheduled about 7:30am and were done as planned about 2pm. I got several quotes and Brown's was the best by $700. The Pasco county inspector said it was a good job. Many of the neighbors use Brown's and all seem happy with the services they've received.

They were here about a week ago.  I don't like the fact that they try to sell me something else.  The work has been so far so good.  Interactions are okay.

The Brown's company had been recommended to me by another service company that I trust explicitly.  I had previously had a preventive maintenance contract with another company and had early on noticed that each time they came (2 times per year) they had another gadget that they tried to sell me.  They used scare tactics in their sales pitches with the probability of dire things happening to my split unit system if I didn't buy whatever it was they were pushing at that time.  I doubted that the odds were in favor or a comparatively new system needing new add-on's every six months in-order to continue to provide me with reliable heat and AC and their add-on's were never inexpensive..  The outside unit (condenser) is still under warranty which they would have known but nevertheless they were pushing the replacement of a part for it.  Their technician showed me all of the parts like mine that he removed from other customers and replaced with new that day already.  That tells me no more than that part was what they were selling/ pushing that day or week.  I turned it down and said I would like t get a second opinion on the necessity of replacement at that time.  There was only a light bit of rust on the top of the one in my unit and the others he'd replaced had more rust.  After their team left, unhappy with me for refusing to purchase a two hundred dollar part, I realized that the technician checking the air handler had kept me occupied ( telling me that if there was something wrong with the air handler he wouldn't tell me) while the one working on the condenser put the part he'd removed back into my condenser.  He had gone back to it with some of the other like parts he had replaced for other customers and I wasn't sure if he'd put the less rusted one that was on my condenser originally back or one of the others.
I decided at that time to call Mr. Brown and have him check out my system and give me a second opinion.  He came to do so within two days, my unit was working so I wasn't in a big hurry.  When.he opened the condenser casing I immediately realized that my original part had been replaced with another, older one and was barely fastened into the housing.  It was dangling.  I can't prove that my part was switched of course, which is why I'm not mentioning the other company by name although they are on Angie's List.  Mr. Brown tested the part they put in there and found that it was working OK and he proceeded to do a 13 point system check on the rest of my system.  It all checked out OK.  He was up front, honest and forthright while also giving me a lot of good information.  He even checked to see if when I purchased the condenser the warranty had been registered as the company had promised me they would take care of that.  (I had written a note on the invoice that they had assured me they would register it).  They didn't.  I will use Mr. Brown in the future.  I was very impressed with the quality of service he provided and his understanding of my problem.
