"We are professional engineers and just like a doctor, the liability is high, therefore cost is actually reasonable when considering we are providing a service that requires a license that takes 10 years to get. We are not a regular contractor. Note there are not many licensed Structural Engineers in the total State of Florida."
"We finished the job. He said it himself."
"I cannot understand how this person gives such a low rating without making any comments. This work was finished and approved by the County."
"This was the concluding statement written to Jeff D. Based on our education, licensing, experience and evaluation we find that the wall can be removed. The wall appears to be non-load bearing. Yet, the views were restricted and to be 100% sure a much larger ceiling opening needs to be made to check further. Also, a reinforcement bracket will need to be added at the lower chord and over the metal mending plate. This will serve a further reinforcement of that lower joint point. The reinforcement plate will be ¾? OSB plywood 3 ft. long X 1 ft height. The plate will be glued and screwed on to the truss members. Use ¼" dia. screws X 2" long. YOU BE YOUR OWN JUDGE ON THIS MATTER! Luis R. Perez"
"I am sorry that you thought I asked for 50% of payment only to you because you were dishonest. Everyone is asked for a percentage at the start of the work. In most cases it is 100% and not 50%. I have been burned buy people who have never paid and in my kindness to them lost money- more than once. That is why I insist on a down payment. Also if you recall, you did not have 50% and I said it was alright to give what you had. AT the end I even DROPPED the price for you an additional 17% because I felt that I needed to HELP YOU. Finally, I want you to know that my great grandmother was a Hispanic black woman. Some of my best friends have been black."
