About us
Suncoast Plumbing, Inc. was founded in August of 1979. Rick & Sandi Workman opened the small business selling retail parts and offering many phases of plumbing contracting. Bob Richard offered the electrical contracting. Their son, Todd Workman, also worked after school and on Saturdays in the shop and in the field. In 1991, Todd’s wife Jenni joined the Suncoast family. Todd & Jenni purchased the business from Rick & Sandi in early 2000. Rick, Todd & Bob are all licensed masters by exam. In 1989 Todd became the youngest person to get a Master Plumber’s license in the state of Florida. Suncoast Plumbing, Inc. offers a combined total of 68 years experience in plumbing and 57 years experience in electrical. Additionally, Todd sits on the Board of Directors of the Citrus County Builders Association. Suncoast offers plumbing contracting in new construction (residential & commercial), remodeling, underground utilities maintenance, and mobile home hookups. Also, a large part of the business is our 24 hour service department including sewer cleaning, sewer line inspection with camera/video, water heaters and faucets. Our after hours emergency service calls are taken by our staff (not an answering service) and then dispatched to our service plumber. We pledge to give each customer high quality personalized service, like we have for over 33 years, for many years to come!

My 4-month-old Rheem water hear was telling me “service needed” with an error code for possible water leak. I went to the Rheem warranty website where I was then directed to “Find a Pro.” Suncoast Plumbing was one of the options, so I contacted them and explained my problem. I was very clear that it was only a few months old and covered under warranty. The repairmen arrived quickly. The techs were baffled because this heater had “new technology” They spent some time on Google trying to find the solution. They took the heater apart and put it back together, but the error continued. To my surprise they presented me a bill for $95. When I explained at heater was under warranty AND they didn’t fix anything they said, “are you refusing to pay?” When I explained I shouldn’t have to pay, they left. Fast forward a couple weeks. After threats of collections and a couple unpleasant calls with the office I reluctantly paid the bill to rid them of my life. I gave them the chance to make it right, but they refused. Buyer beware!

It was a bit of a tough job as the space was quite small and difficult to get the new water heater into it but he got it done without damaging anything. And he got here within the time slot that he was supposed to.

We had our new home completed November - 2018. The builder used Suncoast Plumbing to install all of the plumbing work. We brought with us from our previous home, our Kinetico Water Softener System. Since Suncoast Plumbing did the new home plumbing installation, we decided to check with them to see if they do Water Softener installs also. Since they did and the price for the install was very reasonable, we scheduled them to install our system on 12.27.2018 At approximately 0827 hrs., Tom K. arrived to install the system. Tom did a GREAT and through job, cleaned up after the install. Tom was strictly business which we really appreciated. If there were ever any problems to be sure to call them. He was done and gone at 1014 hrs. We have not experienced any problems with the install and are really enjoying soft water again !! Thanks Tom K. and Suncoast Plumbing ! Our hot water suddenly became cool. At first it seemed like a new heating element would do the trick. When that didn't work, Jessie did more trouble-shooting and concluded that there might be a leak. Rather than sell me an unneeded new hot water heater, he recommended an leak detection service, which indeed did find and locate a leak under the slab. They (SP) then returned and broke through the floor, found, fixed and tested the repair and re-concreted the floor. A major leak is never a fun thing, but their professionalism and fair pricing was well appreciated.

Horrible, he was at my house for a total of 15 minutes. He checked my shower and told me it wasn’t producing hot water, tell me something I don’t know genius. Then he goes to my water heater and asked if they installed it, I said no and he had a smirk on his face and an attitude as if I should have called his company to install it. Then he tells me that it’s an electrical issue in my heater, and that he won’t repair it. Weird, because the rest of the house gets hot water, so how is it an electrical issue? Anyways, he proceeds to tell me I owe him $85. For what? I told him he was at my house for a total of 15 minutes and did absolutely nothing. I can tell you this, I will never again use them for any plumbing issues. Also, they are called Suncoast Plumbing and ELECTRIC, so why couldn’t he correct the issue again? Just saying. Your loss buddy, I know a lot of people in the area that are looking for a reliable plumbers that could have made you hundreds if not thousands, and I’m getting a new water softener this week so I will be going elsewhere for business. Enjoy your $85 for doing absolutely nothing, RIP OFF, I can see a service charge of 30 or 40 just for coming out, no problem, but most Doctors don’t even make $85 in 15 minutes, why should you?

Chris Carr was quick/professional/efficient - we have used this company before and have always been pleased with the work and the reasonable cost. All employees we have dealt with have been excellent - and Chris was no exception. Ours is an older mobile with the plastic piping that seems to regularly have issues - it always entails crawling under the house - we just want to keep it patched and Suncoast is fine with doing the fixes only. We appreciate that they handle doing only that.

For the most part they did a really good job. They did have to come back twice to fix some leaks. My house is very very old and i inherited it in bad condition. But they have tried very hard to get the fixes as best they can. However I really only have 2 complaints: 1. They don't give you bigger discounts with the more work you give them. I still have ALOT more work to do across three properties and they are not offering anything competitive. 2. I would have liked to see them reach out to me to follow up more. Especially with all the problems I have in the house, the more work that still needs to be done as well. I still have about $25,000 in work across three properties if they charged me full price.

Steve arrived on time, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and quickly got to the root of the problem with our water heater. It was not leaking and although 12 years old simply needed $75 worth of parts and a flushing and it's good to go. While the tank was draining - he looked at other small plumbing issues and addressed them quickly. My husband is grateful his HoneyDo list just got shortened! :)

When I called, they quoted an estimate over the phone and that was the price charged after the work was completed. They actually did the job the day after I called them. John, the plumber arrived within the time I was quoted. He was very professional, answered any questions and explained the process. Stayed at it and finished everything we wanted done. Very good job.

While James was here I askedhim if he could do some other repairs unrelated to water main break and he said sure,he repaired my leaky bathroom faucet and loose shower handle and replaced under kitchen sink filter.
Plus gave us a discount on the service,I couldn't have asked for better service,plus this young man was extremely polite and respectful,I definitely would as for this plumber James if I ever need more help with Plumbing or electical work!!!!
