Smith Septic Tanks of Homestead Inc
About us
Smith Septic Tanks stands for integrity. We know that the best advertisement is through the referrals of our satisfied customers, so we strive to give our customers the quality of service they deserve. Our prices are competitive and fair. We are not the most expensive, nor are we the cheapest in town. We give our customers their money's worth and more. We believe that you get what you pay for. Many times we have gone behind other companies to repair drainfields that were only a year old. Unfortunately, the homeowner paid twice for it. Since there are companies who would like nothing more than to take advantage of uninformed customers, our goal is to educate the public about their septic systems. License #SM0890744.

"Thank you for your business!"
"I'm glad you had a positive experience, but it wasn't our company (I could tell immediately by the price of the pumpout). We close for the holiday season every year to give our employees a paid vacation for two weeks. We have been closed from December 18th and won't reopen until January 2nd. We do refer potential clients on our phone to another company while we are closed, so perhaps you called them."
"We depend on the customer to provide the correct information. The water bill is required, but this customer only provided the account number. Unfortunately, Miami-Dade Water & Sewer only posted a temporary amount online at the time I used this as his bill which showed well under the 400 gpd water usage needed for a 4 bedroom home. We put in a 400 sq.ft. drainfield according to Health Dept specifications and it was approve by the Health Dept. Had we known that this customer uses over 600 gallons of water per day, we would have advised him differently and perhaps not even done the job. When he came to us, we offered to add 200 sq.ft. on to the existing system to handle the problem for cost. He didn't just want the drainfield fixed, he wanted it for free. He wouldn't even negotiate the fact. He wanted it for free. We did everything according to the law, and the Health Dept backed us up. It was unfortunate that the M-D Water & Sewer Dept had the wrong reading at the time I checked it. It is a good lesson learned for us. We will NEVER accept the account number again. The customer has to get that information for us no matter what. If you want a true account of our reputation ask to the Miami-Dade County Health Dept, City of Homestead Building Dept, Pinecrest, Palmetto Bay, Coral Gables, among the many realtors, building inspectors, and plumbers. We have hundreds of customers and the majority would give us an outstanding review. How do I know this? Because 98% of our business comes from word of mouth. We aren't perfect, no one is, but if you want the most knowledgeable and experienced company, then you will call us."
