 + -1 moreDebbie was adamant about not letting us have access to the home we had under contract until the final walkthrough, just prior to closing, even though they were supposed to make some repairs prior to that. She also changed our offer after we submitted it to an "As Is" offer. That was not okayed with us prior to her changing it. Our realtor, Sherry Vihlen, agreed with us that we had not submitted the offer "AS IS." Had we known the contract was "as is", we would not have put in the offer amount that we did. They knew we were under pressure to find a property since our existing home was closing in 6 weeks. They placed items of furniture in front of walls that had problems and also concealed existing problems. They were unethical in their operations. I would not recommend using this company to list your home and beware when you place an offer on a property they list. Make sure you have a real estate attorney to assist you with your closing with this company!
Description of Work: She was the listing real estate agent for the company when we purchased our home. Our realtor was with the same office. After we submitted our offer, she changed the contract to "As is" without our knowledge. When we had the home inspected, we found several problems with the home. When we tried to negotiate on having the problems fixed, she refused saying the contract was As Is. Our copy did not state that. She checked the box after the fact. When we requested another visit to the property, she refused. We were not able to revisit the home until right before closing. On the final inspection, we discovered the water pump was not working properly. We had to postpone the closing until it was repaired. The plumber told us the owner would have know there was a problem & that was probably why they did not want us to have access to the property prior to closing. When we complained to our realtor, she acted as though she was walking on eggshells since the listing agent was her boss.
