Bob Hilson & Company Inc

I had to call them back multiple times to fix gutters that were still leaking. The main one of concern which I showed them at estimate time is STILL leaking. After sending multiple crews on 5 separate occasions to attempt to fix it (and telling me it was fixed each time) the owner now tells me it is a roofing problem not covered under my contract. The workers were nice and showed up when they were supposed to but that is worthless if the owner does not stand behind his work/estimates.

They were professional, explaining our options (repair vs. replace) and recommending repair as our roof would likely last another 5-10 years.  The crew was on time, did great work and cleaned up after themselves.  An entirely great experience!

They were great from start to finish. I had 3 quotes reviewed by the construction manager at my job and he felt they offered the best quality of products and were more professional than the others. They also were just below the price of the other quotes. Ray, my contact, is fantastic. Really nice guy and will walk you through everything. They were timely and cleaned up every day, so there was no mess during the 2 week process. The inspection was complete yesterday, and everything was OK. The roof looks fantastic. I couldn't be happier!
My co-worker also used them to replace her roof and was very happy as well. I highly recommend Bob Hilson and Company to anyone needing roofing services.

The company had replaced our clay tile roof with concrete tiles in 2006, after our experiences with hurricanes Katrina and Wilma. They did a fine job. Since that time and after several roof cleanings by other companies, a few of the concrete tiles had become cracked and/or broken. We contacted Hilson and Co. to do the repairs needed now. Their estimator was responsive and professional. The repairers were skilled, responsive, and professional. The final bill was less than the original estimate. Our realtor's recommendation 15 year ago was: Hilson's not the least expensive, but they do excellent, reliable work. That's been our experience both times we've used them as well. Highly recommended.

They installed the roof on my home in 1990 before I purchased it and did some repairs on the flat roof portion in 1998. I know they did a good job on the tile roof because the tile roof has held up very well for 23 years, through Andrew, Karina and Wilma and every tropical storm and season in between. The flat roof perhaps not as well. I did have the flat roof maintained and inspected, so I don't think it was badly treated. In 1998, they were very responsive and professional with the repairs, one under warranty in early 1998, however, they might as well not exist as a company anymore. Back in 1998 I always thought I would turn to Hilson for all my roofing requirements, but clearly they don't want me as a customer as much as I wanted them as my roofer of choice.
Perhaps they only bother with larger jobs now or are overbooked for months. In either situation, they should be honest over the phone about the situation and not mislead someone into thinking there will ever actually be a call back from their scheduler. Perhaps they aren't aware that their scheduler doesn't return ALL calls ??? Can that be ?
Can you tell I am annoyed ? I will promise you I am not the only one. Bob Hilson and Company may not realize that the sound of crickets chirping from their end has done permanent harm to any good feelings I may have ever had about them and any inclination I might have ever have to mention their name positively again.

It went very well. Some of the fascia board was plastic wood we had bought and some of it was pressure treated wood.They installed it all with great professionalism. It was a difficult job because the roof had to be rolled back and then reattached, plus they had to coordinate with our pool screen people so that screen could be detached and reattached.

We have used Bob Hilson for over 15 years and have never had any problem with the work performed. The employees are very professional and courteous. We have priced other roofers and found Hilson to be competitive even though I would pay a premium for the quality of their work.

They were prompt, courteous and I assume the work was successful for we have no further signs of leaks. Yes, I would use Hilson again.

Having lived in our present house for the past 24 years, my wife and I have had many previous experiences in dealing with companies who provide services for the residential community. Many of these experiences were no fun at all, to say the least. This included workers who didn't show up when they were suppose to and many times performing shoddy work when they did show up.
This certainly was not the case with Bob Hilson roofing. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a roof repair or an entire new roof in the South Florida area.

They went to the house, determined the cause of the problem, and told me over the phone what needed to be done. They then repaired two loose nails and sealed approx 50 shingles that had come loose following a strong rain and wind storm. The problem was solved! Great people to work with. They said they would fix the problem and they did.

They were punctual and their prices were fair. They completed the work and made sure that I was satisfied with the work. They stayed till the work was completed and if there is an emergency; one of their people is out here immediately.

Our roof had multiple leaks and each of which were patched by another roofer and finally it came to the fact that we needed a new roof. The other roofer did not seem reliable, and they did not keep appointments and so forth. BOB HILSON ROOFING has a very good reputation and so we approached him for an estimate. I had one or two other estimates about the same price. We stuck with BOB HILSON ROOFING because he has a good reputation. I had the county and the local authorities for inspection certification. I have a 10 year warranty on it.

I had some work done before on the roof. It was pretty good, but there were some problems. Then I had an insurance inspection. So, the roofer was reasonably good about coming back and fixing it. The price was reasonable for the additional work as well.

The workers arrived on time, worked all day long for three days, cleaned up everything. Inspector praised the work and passed it the next day. Totally satisfied with the service both quality and price. They did everything they were contracted to do and then some. When I requested a little extra work be done, they did it quickly, efficiently, and the price was reasonable. Would certainly recommend them to anyone. When the invoice arrived, it was a bit higher than expected. Not unreasonable, but somewhat more than what I was led to believe. However, overall still quite satisfied with results.

Roofing is very tricky, and you have to get somebody good. They are reliable. They come when they say they will come. They tell you what's wrong in language you can understand. They're very clear about what needs to be done and what the options are. If you have a complaint, you can call them and they'll come fix it. However, I never have any complaints. They're probably one of the more expensive companies, but I'm not sure.

We needed a new roof and they replaced it. Very reliable and prompt and come back when we had a question.

They were able to locate and repair a leak that another company was unable to take care of. They are very professional and knowledgeable.

They had excellent responsiveness, especially considering that the contract spanned the period when Miami was affected by two hurricanes. The quality of Hilson's work is top notch.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB, AND THE ROOF LOOKS WONDERFUL. THEY ARE ALSO VERY RESPONSIVE AND FRIENDLY. I WAS IMPRESSED THAT THEY KEPT A VERY CLEAN WORK SITE, THEY DIDN'T LEAVE A NAIL BEHIND.
