I was charged $700 by Weather Wise to do a Pressure Hold Test to check for leaks in my ac system. Weather Wise capped off the lines and pump in 200 lbs of Nitrogen. They returned a few hours later and informed me that there is no leaks.
I am thankful that Weather Wise was honest enough to tell me that there were no leaks in my refrigerant lines. Another ac company told me that I had a leak and they had to replace the underground refrigerant line. I had hired Weather Wise for a 2nd opinion. They provide good service but to charge $700 for a test job which should not be more than $250 was over the top. Talking to the owner, Ed Shea was a waste of time. I told him that I had gotten price comparison from Angie's List A-rated providers and the average charge should be $250. This expensive lesson taught me that I should always consult Angie List for service providers before hiring one.
