I wish I could give them a minus rating. When I took my dog there for a consult he was walking well and pain free coming in. They persuade me to pay for an x-ray on his hips (done under anesthesia) to make sure his hips are ok as I was worried about the right hind leg. Dr Jon Dee came out and told me that in the x-ray his hips look fine and that they pushed his right hind leg to make sure its in and stay in. When he came out and could not walk, both me and the tech barely got him to the car, The tech said that he is wobbly because of the anesthesia but after it wore off he could no longer walk again. He seems to be in pain and is unable to step on his right foot. When I contracted the vet he prescribe pain meds. When I contacted him again after a few days he didn’t respond. A week later and the dog can’t step on his right leg and have problem walking on 3 legs, is in pain and might be crippled like that for the rest of his life. The vets were very careless pushing his leg when there was no reason to. They are not accountable when they injure an animal. The only thing they care about is making money for themselves and the big VCA corporation. we are heartbroken that they injured our dog and never thought that taking him there was putting him in danger.

We pulled our five pets out of this vet recently after five years because 1) the vet (woman, middle-aged, blond, big) has gotten very inarticulate yet condescending (starting every conversation with let me finish) and the med director is a rude arrogant guy also. After tellling him weeks ago that I was taking all 5 pets out out their care and calling their VCA corporate number to also tell them this, he (the med director ) feels he has to send me a letter saying they are discontinuing my care. (What a joke!) How small and defensive can VCA HAH get!!! Anyway I have long since found a great vet, Dr Bob at Sheridan Animal Hospital, where they answer their phones (don't take 10 mins like VCA HAH) and where they are not so assembly line. Another big thing with VCA HAH is their disorganized records. For two of my pets, 2 days in a row, they messed up their medical records. A black cat (tuxedo) they had as brown on the form and they erroneously said that he was found at a shelter (wrong) and for another cat they had lost the notes entirely for his last phys exam, and then when I noticed this and pursued it, they found some scribbled vet notes that I requested they type like the others (so I could understand them) and that is when the mgr and med director got very defensive (med director said oh I can read them) like that is all that matters (not the customer). (Accurate Records are important for pet insurance.) This place has real problems and it starts with bad mgmt from the director and office mgr and a condescending vet who does not want to articulate things for people who want to understand! The off mgr can respond below but I would think she has way better things to do, and I sure have better things to do then to hear anything more from this dysfunctional place. It is my experience and that of several others (on YELP they put the great bulk of the negative 1-star reviews on the "REVIEWS NOT RECOMMENDED" area and don't let them affect the rating there.

It's always an adventure with a cat and there's 5 million dogs in there but we get along. They do a wonderful job. They're very professional. You can even sign up online for an appointment. They are very efficient. They are great.

It was for just one pet. They would get an A. I am going to give them a B on price. I am sure it could be better but the quality is worth it so I go. They are usually punctual. I would use them again.

female staff member assigned to me was argumentative , unapologetic, and generally obnoxious even after realizing that she was wrong and was overcharging me for the $3000 surgery that had just been done to my dog! the doctors are the best but the staff is horrible!

Great my Vet was Dr.Lukens and I really liked her. Very caring towards the animals. I always make my appointments with her.

I had two animals when I first started using them and then, I quickly acquired 3 more. I can't remember if I first used them for neutering or shots or routine care.

I have a lot of animals. Because it was a follow up, there was no cost. I have used the vet that I use for almost 20 years. They are big, they have like 13 doctors. They have a big staff and they have specialties. It is kind of like going to a teaching hospital because they do stuff there that single vets and even smaller practices don't do like X-rays and sonograms. They have an emergency room and all kinds of stuff. It is a range of their services. They have been here for 60 years. It was Stanley run until a couple of years ago. They are a community asset.

They have many doctors there but I see Dr. Lukens and she's the one I would have to give an A for. She's excellent!

I have brought several of my pets to the emergency clinic through the years, and I've always been satisfied with the level of care. This last experience with my cat was outstanding. Thanks!

Dr. Sessa, at VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital, encompasses everything an amazing vet should have. 27 + years of experience, knowledgeable, and compassionate. It is very rare to find a vet who makes the animals his priority. Dr. Sessa is revolutionary in that he tries to make vet care affordable! I can't speak for any of the other vets there, but Dr. Sessa is amazing. His appointments can fill up fast because he is a high quality vet who provides top notch care.

I can't vouch for the other vets at VCA, but Dr. Sessa is the best vet I have ever encountered. When I first moved here 6 months ago, I had tried many other vets trying to find good, reliable service. Dr. Sessa was recommended to me and I have not regretted it at all! He is very experienced, great bedside manner, compassionate, and affordable. He made me feel like my pet mattered and offered me affordable vet care. Dr. Sessa goes above and beyond for his patients and is very knowledgeable. You will not be disappointed if you trust him with your pets. My only regret, is I didn't find him sooner!

I couldn't be happier with the service and the Doctors that both of my dogs saw.  They are knowledgeable and understanding about the conditions that I was worried about and were more than efficient and helpful in all areas. 

The best part is that I can get their medication there as well as their food.  With two dogs in tow, they placed the purchased dog food in my car and we were on our way with a minimum of stress and waiting.
