The workers were on time, efficient and very professional.

We had a small area in our apartment, about 3 x 4 feet, where the tiles had lifted up from the floor and were poking up at various angles, and many of them had cracked as well. The tiles covered the kitchen, living room, and the den, but unfortunately they were old enough that we could not find them in the stores anymore, and we could not find any others that really matched. We called several other tile installers before calling Universal Tiles. Others made appointments and cancelled 5 minutes before the appointment, or simply did not show up, and many of them refused to even consider a small job. Universal Tiles was a breath of fresh air. When we reached Vinny (Giovanna Ignorato), he was interested, respectful, and responsive on the phone. He came to inspect our floor the same day! Later, we met him at his shop, which was spacious, light-filled, and chock full of tiles in every size and color imaginable. Vinny had creative and excellent ideas about how to replace our tiles given that we would not be able to match the originals, and he was very patient while we tried to make our choice. It happened that he had a man available the very next day to do the installation. Daniel arrived promptly the next morning to remove the old tiles and install the new ones in a pretty pattern that we had figured out at the store. Daniel was polite, friendly, and skilled. He was not daunted by some of the adjustments to the measurements that he had to make once the job began. He swept and cleaned throughout the process.  He did a beautiful job. The repaired area looks great. Vinny, thank you for your excellent suggestions! Other installers had told us that the job could take 2 - 3 days. Daniel did it in one day. From beginning to end, everyone at Universal Tile has been responsive, responsible, smart, and skilled. It has been a pleasure to work with them.

It was a beautiful job. It was done many months ago and it is still beautiful. It was worth the money. They were very professional all the way from the owners to the people who came to clean the grout.

This company was prompt and extraordinary hard working. It was an enormous job and the floors in my house now look like new. I cannot complement them enough and when I've taken a breath from this huge project, I will have them come back for more work.

Extremely professional. I wandered in there by accident and although I had no clue about what I wanted and needed Ronnie showed me around. We were doing extensive demolition and remodel and Ronnie sent Vinnie out to estimate the job. He had the patience of a saint considering I still had no clue regarding the complexities and interactions with plumber and other suppliers and contractors. Although my lack of knowledge definitely caused them much more time and management than it should have I eventually chose beautiful tile and my bathroom turned out amazing. Their prices were less than discount tile suppliers I had been looking at. Their job management and workmanship was awesome. I would never go anywhere again for any tile needs.

So far my experience is okay.  I haven't made the decision on any of those, this is down in South Florida, Miami area and we are right on the border of Dade County and Broward County, there is a problem with license and everything so we haven't gone far enough to say if they are good or bad, but so far the experience has been okay.  The only problem that I had with them so far is trying to verify whether or not they have a general contractor's license.  He said they did, but I have been doing searches through the county and state and I haven't really found that.  So if he used one, he used a general contractor and he hasn't told me who yet.  I understand that in any kind of bid they are supposed to put that information on the bid and they didn't.

This was a big tile removal and replacement job including steps and  extensions to my terraces and to the walkways and four patios, and Universal tile group has my two thumbs up vote for the Honor Roll.  The owner Nino and office manager Ronnie were always responsive to my many requests and changes, which were quickly, cleanly and professionally taken care of.  Universal Stone and Tile Group has been a thriving family business for decades (and most deservedly so!) doing all kinds of stone and tile work ([email protected]) and it is very understandable why these kind and experienced folks get so many jobs and repeat customers.
