Auto Tires, Auto Service
I recently had new tires installed on my GMC 2500 HD at your tire kingdom at 2600 Pine Island Hollywood Fl. with Martin German. My first impression was a good one. Although you did not have my tires in stock they were there within an hour. At the start of the install I forgot to give the key for the wheel lock to remove the rims, I was asked for the key but then told never mind because the tech found my key. Big problem! The tech took it upon himself to go through my truck to find the key. What else did he look through? It leaves the question of did he take something else, not sure but my level of trust just went way down. Towards the end of the install the tech was filling the tires and I asked If he knew that the front tires should be filled to 60 psi and the back tires to 75. He told me he read the suggested tire pressures on the door and was putting in correct tire pressure. After getting home I realized that one of the rims where the old weight was damaged while taking it off and that all four tire pressures ranged from 79 psi to 86 psi not the recommended tire pressures. It is frustrating when you spend your hard earned money expecting a job to be done right then having to go correct someone else's mistakes. This type of experience is what you expect to find at a run down tire shop not at a national chain. I have emailed this store and also called the corporate office to file a complaint. It has been more than a week and still no response. This just shows how little they value you as a customer.

Auto Service
I Had only 12,600 on my car. I came in for an oil change and one other minor service, as listed in my car maker's warranty. Within minutes they started the up sell and told me I needed the transmission fluid flushed, as well as something about the gas lines being flushed and cleaned. I was expecting to spend about $100 and ended up with a deal close to $500. When I complained that I couldn't afford to do all of this in one day, they lowered the price to $340. After checking with my car manufacturer, I discovered that transmission fluid typically is not changed until 60,000 miles. As I sat at the location I kept hearing them up selling other customers, and particularly felt bad for a much older couple who came in for some tires and ended up with bills that ran close to $1000 beyond the cost of the tires. I can't say with assurance that this place up sells for services that are not actually necessary, but I caution other members. feel foolish that I did not just walk out.

Prompt and good service. When I went home I checked the price of the exact battery I got there against other retailers and found their price to be somewhat elevated. Had no choice, was a weekend and needed to use the car.

Auto Tires, Auto Service
Walked out to a flat tire this morning, and knew it was time for a new set - I had put it off too long. Inflated the tire and headed over to the local Tire Kingdom about 7:45 (this was a Saturday). He looked at my truck and tires, and asked me what kind of tires I was looking for. I told him mid range, and he showed me some decent Cooper tires, gave me the price ($145 each, installed) and said they had them in stock and could do it right away. I had looked around on the internet for tires, and that price was slightly below what I was seeing the same tires for elsewhere. Gave them the ok, Headed over to the waiting room. It was clean, had comfortable chairs and best of all, decent coffee. He came back in about 20 minutes saying he needed to show me something. Gulp.... that is never a good sign. Walked me out to the shop, and showed me my brake pads. They were in rough shape, and even crumbling a bit. Told me if I didn't do it now, it would start to wear the rotors and lead to a much more expensive repair.
The truck only has 45,000 miles on it, but it is 11 years old (what can i say, I work from home and don't have any commute) and I had known in the back of my mind that I would need to do the brakes in the near future... these were the originals pads. And I'm not naive about auto repair - in my late teens I had worked at a garage doing repairs. I'm just too old (not to mention lazy) to do my own repairs anymore. He was absolutely right - if I let this go any longer i would be paying much more for it. They charged me $300 total for the pads and installation. No great bargain, but not overpriced either. They had to order the brake pads, and a Napa runner had them there about the time they were finishing mounting the tires on the rims and removing the old pads.
I was out of there 90 minutes after pulling in with no appointment. While I didn't feel like I got the deal of the century, the price was fair and the service and professionalism of the staff was excellent. And while I was waiting, i asked them for ballpark cost for belt, hoses and shocks, and they gave me a written estimate.
I will go back there in the future.
