Our experience with Brad Scobey was flawless, pleasant, and professional. We live in CA and were purchasing a condo in FL. A family member had looked at the unit for us and we decided to buy it. All negotiations with the the seller's agent were on the phone and then he sent us a P&S to sign. We weren't sure whether to hire a lawyer to look at the P & S and so I started surfing on Angie's List and came across Brad. I was amazed at his responsiveness. I first spoke with his professional, pleasant, and warm assistant, Arlene. Within an hour or so Brad called back and I asked him how we should go about this. I told him that we hadn't had a lawyer look at the contract and he offered to look at it. While on that preliminary call, I e-mailed it to him and he went over it line by line. It turns out it was a standard contract, but Brad gave some very important advice about doing business in Florida and escrow deposits. It turns out that Brad could handle the escrow and closing. The title came through fine (and this building had gone through two bankruptcies) and Brad was able to return a portion of the title insurance fees because the previous owner/builder's policy was still in effect (or something like that). This kind of largesse and integrity is so retro, unfortunately, and I was impressed beyond measure. The seller ended up using him as his closing agent, too, and I'm so glad that worked out for Brad. We did come from CA for the closing and it was a pleasure to meet in person. His office was easy to find and a very professional setting. I just can't say enough good about Brad Scobey and Spirit Escrow and Title. I highly recommend him.

Brad and his team were very professional and attentive through the whole closing process, they were very patient and understanding through all the delays and pushy realtors. At the closing table there was some tension between realtors, sellers and buyers but Brad and his team made us all feel very comfortable. The service was exceptional, his closing cost were the same as everyone else but with the utmost professionalism and care, which is rare in South Florida! Would definitely recommend and use again!!

Brad and his team were extremely helpful in my situation. Closing lasted much longer than expected and received nothing but encouragement that things will work out. Excellent communication skills, customer service and a true one stop shopping as his contacts were just a phone call away and most reasonably priced. Would greatly recommend Spirit as they go well beyond what is customary and honestly care about you as a person not just a client.

I called Brad at Spirit Title and Escrow becasue I was extremely frustrated with the information being provided (by the bank "approved" title company) during my refinance. He asked that I forward the paperwork to him for review. Within 30 minutes, he called back to say that the figures provided were not entirely out-of-line, and that he could save me a little money at closing. He was EXTREMELY honest when he said that if I dropped the bank approved title company at this point, the resulting aggravation from the mortgage company would probably not be worth the savings. I very much appreciated his fast response and candid comments. I regret that I did not know about Sprit Title and Escrow at the beginning of the refinance process. I would not hesitate - for a second - to call Brad in the future and I would highly recommend him for anyone needing his services.

Brad Scobey and the team at Spirit Title were extremely professional, honest and reliable -- from the first call and consultation through the closing. It was a huge relief to have someone so experienced handling the arrangements for my condo purchase. Brad explained every part of the process and was very responsive to every communication. He even offered to review the closing statement for the sale of my old home. It was a real pleasure to work with him.

Spirit Title was excellent! From the time we chose them to be our title company before closing, they helped us get together all the necessary documents we needed to close. Their communication was excellent throughout the entire process and they were also very courteous and professional. The day of closing went smoother and faster than any other of the several house closings we've had. They had everything ready to go and explained all the paperwork very well throughout the closing. Super professional, efficient, and competent experience with everyone at Spirit title. If you can choose your title company, these guys are great. No surprises in fees and everything went very smoothly. Closing was done in 30 days, and they coordinated with our bank and realtor effectively!

I contacted numerous firms who do Title Search. I am very particular in who I select because I like things to be done right and to be provided service in a professional manner. I sent an email to Arelene at Title Search who proceeded to give me a quote for closing on two commercial units next to each other. I informed them about my time frame, the services that I needed and my concerns. They responded the same day with a quote for the services that was very fair and of great value. I had received quotes from 2 other title service companies, but their ratings on Angie's List made me go with them. Great Decision on my part, without a doubt the best experienceI have had in a closing. If you like a vendor who communicates promptly, is well organized and covers your back, this is the firm for you. Not only that, but they were so reasonable. Unfortunately, the SELLER's attorney was not as organized and thanks to Brad at Spirit Title, my interests were all protected. Brad, has the experience and knowledge to know exactly every step of this process, moving forward I have no need to every requests any other Title company, this is the one for me. From the first contact with Brad I knew exactly what to do and when. They continually stayed ahead of the process and always kept me informed of status even when I wasn't asking which was an excellent touch. When I had difficulty obtaining required forms they basically stepped in and provided examples and ultimately ended up obtaining the documents I could not find by their own channels. As we approached the closing date they were flexible with dates and times and always friendly and professional. Today I met them in person for the first time and they were very nice people and even offered refreshments before we got down to business. Once into the process every document I was signing was clearly explained and when further clarification was requested Brad took the time to explain complex items in simple common language. I have had several closing experiences and this was by far the easiest and most comfortable of them all.

Contacted Spirit and the offered a very competitive price. They responded accurately to all my questions either by email or telephone in a very timely manner. Closing was punctual and completely quickly with all documents available and explained thoroughly.

When we purchased a condo in Wynmoor Village, we were told by Sellers' realtor (Coral Shores Realty) that by using "their" Title & Escrow Company ( Nexstar) we, as Buyers and the Sellers would each save $250. This total $500 savings would be gained because Coral Shores Realty would forgo their "normal " $250 "service" charge to each of us. Based on this promised saving we, as buyers agreed to have our escrow deposited with Nexstar. Shortly afterwards we received an emailed request from Nexstar to agree (by return email) to Nexstar's Settlement Statement. No copy of the Settlement Statement was attached for our review. We requested a copy of the Settlement before we would sign off. After some delay, we received a copy of Nexstar's Settlement Statement and discovered that Nexstar was going to charge a total of $1,277 for "Settlement and Closing Fees." A review of our signed Sales Contract did not show any "service" charge from the realtor and we advised Coral Shores that we would not use "their" title company and we would not pay any "service" charge to them. A search in Angie's list turned up highly rated Spirit Title & Escrow who offered their services for a total of $590 ($295 each to Buyer and Seller.) We had our escrow transferred from Nexstar to Spirit. Spirit did an outstanding job despite some difficulties presented by Sellers split power of attorney, out of state principles, etc. Spirit kept us informed during the entire process. I recommend Spirit and would use them again without any hesitation.

Excellent service! I E-mailed Brad based on the Angie's list ratings, and got an immediate E-mail in return. I explained what I needed, and he sent me an estimate the same day. Although it's hard to estimate exactly what it's going to cost, his estimate was right on the numbers. He and Arlene were great to deal with over the phone, and closing was a breeze. He had everything ready to go, explained everything without dragging things out, was able to answer every question, and made a point of putting the documents that I would need to set up utility services on the top of the packet.

I was told by an insurance company I needed a title company to remove my deceased father's name from the property deed. Finding Spirit Title on Angie's List, I called and talked with the owner. He informed me that I could do this myself. Brad told me not only the courthouse address, the room but how much it would cost. Yes, I would use his services in the future!
