Othman Salem Pool Services

ON 6/23/23 I employed Othman Salem Pool Services to do my monthly maintenance on my screened in pool. He charged me $335 for a chemical treatment and the first months maintenance.($125/Mo) I began to notice black stains forming on the sides of my pool man and he said he would talk to Salem . Nothing was done, so on 7/25/23 I sent Salem a picture. No response. Whenever I saw my regular pool guy I asked him what was going on about the stains. He did add extra chlorine and muriatic acid , however that did not take care of the problem. I texted Salem directly and told him that I was not happy with the stains and he told me he would finish out the month and then I should get another company to maintain my pool as I was accusing him of staining my pool. I have cameras in yard an I know that Othman Salem Pool Services was the only one that put anything in my pool. He ignored my request to rectify this mess.

Called to get weekly pool service. I explained we recently had our pool resurfaced with diamond brute and was ready to convert the pool back to salt filtration. I explained we have been maintaining the pool with chlorine and checking the balance weekly. He insisted we should be putting in jugs of acid and that we must be doing something wrong. He said we probably wi l need to have the pool acid washed. I tried to explain we had Pinch a Penney checking the levels. He kept insisting we were doing something wrong. He didn't even see the pool.I got the feeling he wanted to do repair work. The irony he criticized Pinch a Penney and he gets a lot of referrals from there.

Salem came to fix leak, indicated he found the leak, indicated he fixed the leak, and services was paid for. They indicated the work was guaranteed and if the pool continued to leak to call them back. After a few days the pool was leaking at the same rate. We called them back and they said they would come on a Saturday. They did not come as promised. They called to indicate they would come on Monday. I was not home to see their work but trusted they would fix the leak correctly the second time. They indicated they came and fixed the leak. After a few days the pool was still leaking at the same rate. I called them back and they said it was probably due to evaporation and to call them back if I really thought there was still a leak. I told them that I was sure there was still a leak as I have had the pool for over a decade and know the difference between the water going down due to evaporation vs a leak. They insisted I wait a few days to make sure. At that point I decided to take the loss of what I paid them and look for someone that will actually fix the leak.

I couldn't be happier with Salem and his crew. They show up on time and do an amazing job. We just moved in and the owner himself insisted on coming out to meet me and educate me with everything he does to the pool and even points out things my untrained eye would never notice. Of all the things I need to do around the house both inside and out, I'm totally confident in leaving my pool to Salem.

I trust that he does not overcharge and he is prompt.

They were good.  I was leaving that weekend on duty and they came out early on Saturday and fixed what I needed to be fixed.  Other people had a 10 day cut off to do the same service.  I needed it fixed immediately and he did that.  He pointed some other things that I need to get done.  He did not push me to do anything.  He said I can get it done later when I want.

Overall, everything turned-out excellent!
