I called for service on my washer. I updated the agent on the actions taken to date. The technician arrived and did not even go to the washroom. He told my wife he needs to replace the same part that I just bought new and it would be $600 for the parts alone. After that was accomplished he would begin the next troubleshooting steps. For the 3 minutes on site, I paid $150. They could have told me that on the first call and not wasted my week waiting for availability.
