"We appreciate your feedback, [Member Name Removed], however we do not agree with you on the fact that we are not taking ownership after the treatment. We sent the crew back same day, we sent the company owner there and we did research with the manufacturer. As you wrote, we have been treating your roof only with the Roof-A-Cide treatment for many years. This is a safe treatment that is to be applied every two years to keep your roof tiles clean. We have been a certified applicator of Roof-A-Cide since it's inception in 1992. Your complaint of damaged pavers is the first one we have ever received. When you called our office to express your concern with the pavers we sent the original crew back the same day. At this time photos were taken of the entire deck showing a consistent pattern of age and years of dirt and water on the pavers. We contacted the manufacturer of the Roof-A Cide treatment who looked at the photos and stated, "This is a failing xylene based paver sealer that looks approximately 3-4 years old. The light color coming through the spots is the original color of the marble and the dark colors are the cloudy, dirty caked on paver sealer with mold growing under the sealer. This is why there is a color gradient from the shaded area to the sun exposed area. Xylene based sealer should not be used on natural stone because they hold moisture and grow mold under the sealer causing them to look terrible." A few days after sending the crew back there, our company owner, Earl Johnston, went to see your property and explained to you that the roof treatment could not have caused this issue on the pavers. He stated that these are older pavers, no issue with the treatment in the past have ever occurred in all the years you have had us applying the treatment. He said based on the information received from the manufacturer, it is most likely the sealer has caused this issue. We are sorry you were not completely satisfied and we are here for you if you want to talk to us further about this."
