Overall everything went excellent due to the fact that Guy Cohen got me a check for $ 44,300.00. I have never been thru a fire incident and this was more than I could handle. My sister had a flood in her house due to the toilet and the max it took was 2 weeks. Fire damage was the worst the black smoke goes on everything it went on the walls, the blinds, the air ducts, the fixtures you name it! the whole house need to be painted, the ceilings everything.. The restoration to clean took a week initially and unfortunately I was unhappy with. Guy recomended the company and I called them to come out 2 more times cuz the work was not to my satisfaction. Guy has the vendors to handle everything but it is your choice to use whoever you like.. I would not use the restoration company but everything else was perfect with him. Due to the fire, the smoke went into the Ac which caused the AC to shut down. My tenants who were living in the unit did not want to leave but an inspection deemed the unit inhabitable. Forcing my tenant to move out and causing me to loose money and a headache! Guy demanded the insurance company to pay me for the rent loss and they did.; I hired a cabinet guy that said he could match the cabinets exactly to the old ones I wanted to do this quickly so that I could get the tenants back in. But I knew that it would be impossible to match the cabinets and for sure I was right! The cabinets did not match and had I had the time I would have never done that! I can't justify enough how important it is to hire a public adjuster! Guy Cohen detailed so many things that I would never thought of to claim that actually otherwise you have to do they paid for. Time is money and your insurance company needs to step forward when something like this occurs and should pay you to get it new and better again. I know when I am looking for good people to help me it is hard to tell if the reviews are real. Once I contacted them , Guy immediately sprung into action. I used him in 2006 when Hurricane Wilma Hit, so I know how crucial it is to work with someone with such experience and knowledge when dealing with insurance claims. Guy met me at my property and explained to me what I could expect. We went thru the damages and he was very efficient. He recovered for me more then I thought I was due. Needless to say, if we had not called Cohen and Associates, we would not have received new tile throughout the kitchen, foyer and downstairs bathroom. The carpet would of been steamed cleaned and or deodorized and those stains would of remained there as the padding was soaked clear through and damaged it. We recommend Cohen and Associates as they fight for you in getting your claim fairly treated and the necessary repairs made so your home can be like it was if not better than before the incident happened.
