The original quote was supposed to include moving belongings to their storage facility and then moving them to a new address but when I scheduled the move from the storage to the new address they claimed that was not included in the original price quoted. Some pieces of furniture were damaged and the claim process is terrible. I am still trying to get a fair amount of money to get the furniture repaired. Damages were due to carless handling and set up of the furniture; it seems they were in a rush. They also tried to collect extra money for a piece of furniture when it was clearly included in the quote that there was no extra charge for this piece

Movers arrived on time, but took little care packing our stuff. Had to be reminded multiple times about items that they needed to take. When it came time for delivery, they did not call. I tried to call my contact, but he was on the golf course (on a Wednesday) so didn't get my message until after hours. That made the delay of delivery of 4 days! When we tried to get some kind of compensation for that, the company was only giving us excuses, would not compensate anything. Then when the movers did come, at 2pm ... they stayed until 1:20am!! We still couldnt go to bed, even the kids, at a decent time because they were still assembling beds at that time. My youngest fell asleep on the floor.... Then they were back at 8am the following morning to finish up. We found that they just put boxes wherever they wanted. Many boxes just had things thrown in them with little or no padding. The clothes were jammed into wardrobe boxes, so that on removal they looked like they had been wadded up in a drawer. All of my husbands dress shirts and suits were not even hanging, in the box, but stuffed with the hanger still on them. Floor lamps were not padded at all, so the lamp stands were bent. I guess the parent company is in FL, but the people we dealt with were out of Kings Mountain NC. I was told that all I needed to do was open the door, but if we hadn't helped with the move in, unwrapping and re-assembly, the 2nd day move in would have been more than 2 additional hours. I did see that some people gave great reviews, so I guess it just depends on who they send to you. I also so that other people had the same experience we had.... We are not yet finished unpacking, but keep finding more damaged or broken things as we go. Also I was told that they have their own employees.... The driver and 1 other guy appeared to be employees, but all others were local, people who answered the bid to help -- not employees of the company. Some of these contracted people were better than the driver, but others just didn't care -- which was very evident in how things were packed. Don't be lured by how they say they will pack, our furniture was padded, until they ran out of pads.... at which time they just used some kind of black plastic stuff.... BUYER BEWARE!!

The team immediately made us feel confident in their care and service. We had told them our new home was a one story, totally forgetting about how many boxes and items would be going in our walk up attic storage. They worked tirelessly with no complaints about that! They meticulously took care in wrapping and protecting the furniture for the short 4 mile move, which was impressive. I consider moving someone to be a very hard job and they certainly earned the cost of this move. If I needed to move again, I would use this company and will recommend them to others.

In about 7 days after they picked up my furniture they delivered my goods to Dallas. Unloading was fast, they reassembled all of my furniture and unpacked my fragile items. I'm absolutely happy with their services and I will definitely recommend GroveStars Moving to everybody.
