The team was great to work with. They listened to my needs, helped create the perfect solution for my back patio and worked with me through the whole process. Jose was the actual installer and with his team, they did an excellent job and cleaned up after themselves. A plus in my book! Highly recommend and love that they have a factory right here in Hollywood. Loving my new awning that has given me a new "room" to my house to enjoy.

It has been over a year, and I can honestly say I probably spend more time out under the canopy than I do in my house. Awnings of Hollywood designed a canopy specifically to fit an older model house with a flat roof. The design included a structural gutter that keeps everyone and the awning dry from water running off the roof.
The workmanship is superb, the awning looks great and the folks were very professional.
I am always amazed when contractors take special care with smaller projects, and am very appreciative of the superb quality of service provided.
It's not just an awning, it is a work of art!

Mr. Gerald R. Thompson, the owner of Awnings of Hollywood, Inc. was the person who initially came to my house to view the project and provide me with a quote. We were recovering three existing awnings on the house we purchased last year from the present worn, ugly vinyl ones to Sunbrella fabric ones. The job could have been completed within a weeks time, but we needed to obtain approval from the HOA architectural review board, which delayed the project by approximately one and half weeks. Mr. Thompson was very generous with his time in educating me to the world of awnings (as I never had any experience with awnings prior to owning this house). His quote for the project was also very, very reasonable. I was impressed with the fact that the owner of an awning company that has major clients throughout the continental United States as well as in the Caribbean, was personally involved with measuring even small projects such as mine. This impression was further intensified when the Installers arrived. Jose Rivera was the installation team leader, and he and his crew were amazing. They made swift work of the installation showing their expertise, deftness and knowledge of the product. And they were courteous, polite, personable and funny. They were a wonderful reflection of an amazing company. The new awnings look remarkable and my only regret is not having them redone when we initially purchased the house. I highly recommend this company for any awning needs, with redo's or initial placements.

The provider came to the house to measure, and show us fabric samples. They took the time to explain the levels of quality of each line of fabrics. This helped me make an informed choice. In less than 2 weeks the awning was completed and installed. It looks great and the quality is evident.

7/24/14 - While we are just starting the build phase, I wanted to make sure to get my initial feedback up. To say that our experience so far has been fantastic is an understatement. While we unfortunately had our original designer leave the company shortly after beginning discussions with us, we were immediately assigned to Everett, who picked up the ball and kept us moving forward. While we've had delays in the overall pool build due to the weather this summer, Everett has never failed to keep in contact with us, or quickly respond to our updates. He's visited the site several times, which actually helped catch a minor design issue (post was set to be placed where some plumbing lines wound up being run), and despite running with multiple projects at once, he's never failed to make us seem like we are the only one on his plate. We ran into our first scheduling problem today, but after a quick text, my wife called to let me know Everett was onsite and working with the pool contractors to iron everything out. We cannot wait to see the finished product, and if the level of service and attention to detail we've received so far is any indication, it's going to be awesome! Will post pictures and additional feedback later.

From the minute I called Awnings of Hollywood - I knew I was dealing with professionals. Lori the office manager was responsive, helpful and informative. We live in Miami and this is something we barely get in this city. Once Lori had collected my information she assigned me to a rep - Danny Martin - and told me he would reach out to me within a day. He called me that afternoon. They worked within my tight timeline for installation and small budget. In order to keep things moving, Danny even stopped by the house measured, and left a quote on my front door when he was in the neighborhood - without one of us having to come home from work. I appreciated this get it done attitude as it is sometimes difficult for me to be at the house to have work done on it.
The Installation crew was also lovely. They were quick and thoughtful. They even noticed I had a dog and made sure the gates were always closed behind them to make sure she didn't run out. Everyone I encountered spoke English and was able to explain what they were going to do and the timeline they were looking at getting it done. I sometimes have trouble communicating in Miami because I am not a Spanish speaker.
The entire process from start to finish was easy with Awnings of Hollywood - and I wasn't an easy customer. I had a tight timeline, inflexible schedule and small budget. I'm so happy to have found this company. I will recommend them to anyone I know who is looking to do this type of work on their home. I wish more companies would operate such as this one. Thank you Lori, Danny, Gary and Martin!! The awning looks fantastic and the process was one I will rave about for YEARS!

I called, spoke to Jerry and we made an appt. for the next evening. Jerry did not make the appt. but did call that evening explaining why he was unable to make the appt. We set another estimate appt. and Jerry arrived promplty. Very nice guy. He measured, we sat down looked at the product information and color swatches, etc. Jerry gave us our estimate and we advised we would call when we made our decision. He was polite and personable. We basically went with this company because we felt comfortable and confident.
Pricing was reasonable and competitive.
We called Jerry and made arrangements to have the job set up and as of today we have a nice new awning. The workman showed up this morning early and the job was completed within an hour. Awesome company. We will be using them again for another project we discussed.
I highly recommend Awnings of Hollywood.

I called for an appt. An estimator called me back the same day. We made an appt which was kept as specified. My options were presented, my choice was made, and a deposit given.
Having had past work performed by a different company that was very slow, I did not expect to have my new awning before the Christmas holidays. My early Christmas present was a gorgeous new awning.
Each employee I had contact with was friendly, polite and very professional.. A pleasure doing business.

The estimate was given by Martina who came out to see the proposed project on the date and at the time that she said she would. She was very easy to work with and gave good suggestions on what to do to accomplish what we wanted. I thought her estimate was fair and knew the company had a good reputation through Angies List so we accepted it. I did have to prod them now and again to move the project along. We were in a bit of a rush because we had hurricane shutters waiting to be installed after this job was completed. But aside from the occasional prodding, we were very pleased with the overall job, quality, value and end result.

It was a good experience. The initial experience was great! The problem was when it came to actually put the awnings up. Our job was so small compared to the commercial awnings they were doing. I gave them the deposit and February, and they didn't get put up until June. Everytime I called they would say the crew was some where else. The end result was good, it just took a long time to get it.

Danny, the salesperson/installer, was very personable and pretty much on time, as was the installation of the awning and anemometer. He hooked up all the electric, showed me how to use everything, and showed up after the installation when I had a question. They use good quality materials and I haven't had any problems with any parts.

Awnings of Hollywood (AoH) is very easy to deal with. They returned all of our calls quickly from the very beginning and once we agreed on the work order, they guided us through the whole process. They took care of all the permits and kept us posted where we were at in the process. The installation went very fast and without major impediments on our backyard. Although the concrete that was poured under the two columns did not settle and had to be taken out again, they noticed that flaw immediately and took care of it as soon as the weather allowed it. During the inspection it turned out that there were two anchors missing and AoH also took care of that immediately without us having to chase after them.
