+ -1 moreThese were the most rude people I have spoken to about my remodeling. To start, I never asked them to call me. When they did, they right away wanted to come out even though I said I was just researching companies. I then asked if they could send me an email with their information I never heard of them. Their response was "You don't want us to come out, fine what is your email, or am I supposed to guess that too." Needless to say, I hung up on them and blocked their phone number. They are high-pressure and rude salespeople. I would never let them in my house.
Description of Work: No, they were rude and high-pressure on the phone.

+ -1 moreThis was quite an ordeal and took way too long, pandemic or no. It took about 9 months. Contractor did not stay on top of paperwork and would have missed deadlines, costing me money, if I hadn't stepped in to do what I thought he was doing. Workers showed up or not, you never knew, despite who contractor said was coming that day; contractor would not or perhaps could not tell us who would show up when. He didn't hesitate to tell us he wasn't making any money on our $17,000 job. Work was good with two exceptions: a square piece of cabinet veneer was broken during flooring work, but contractor won't fix it, and contractor's plumber damaged pipe below toilet being replaced, $300 repair cost, if it was already broken he should have told me. Toilet was never installed correctly and shot water out around the base. I didn't even bother asking the contractor to reimburse this as I knew he wouldn't. There were significant lInguistic problems with the contractor, whose native language is Hebrew and whose English had serious shortcomings. I'm Jewish too.

Description of Work: MANY RED FLAGS!!!! 1. He contacted me. Automatically by Angie’s List when I put in project information. 2. Called a few times on house phone. Did not leave message. Just happened to be home. 3. Very nice and informative for the first time 1-2 hours of sales pitch. Created a computer animation of project. 4. Personality change: became very pushy with signing contract NOW with $1000. Deposit. This lasted for 30 min. I read the contract. Decided ok to keep the price. My plan was to cancel if I found issues when I looked him up later. Then he gets a phone call. Speaks with his partner in a different language. When he hangs up. He gets all conceited-you’re gonna worship me. I got you a great deal. We will do everything and build new 1/2 bath for 60k!! You sign now and we start tomorrow. He said “see I make you happy!” NO! No you don’t I said. If anything you just raised more red flags. Needless to say, he was shocked and got upset with me because I told him I don’t want to sign contract. He called a “former customer, Olga” put it on speaker for me to talk to her. I told him “I don’t even want to talk to you anymore, what makes you think I want to talk to her”? He let himself out, slamming my front door. I’m even more disappointed with Angie’s List. This app used to be good. Now it’s worthless.
